When Alistair woke up, he opened his eyes to a room that was both unfamiliar and familiar, and the pain in his body had eased considerably. He tried to sit up, but the lingering ache made him draw in a sharp breath and fall back against the pillows. Tilting his head, he spotted his wand resting on the bedside table, which brought a wave of relief. Alistair carefully observed his surroundings: the off-white bed hangings, the grass-green bed, and the desk and wardrobe. That was when he remembered why the room felt so familiar.
