With two weeks left until winter break, Hogwarts would host a Christmas ball on the Friday of the week before the holidays. The wizards would enjoy a delicious dinner and then change into their festive attire to soak in the Christmas spirit.
First and second-year students were assigned to the left side of the Great Hall, where plenty of drinks and snacks were set out, and they could sit together and chat. The right side of the Great Hall had been cleared into an open space, with Professor Sprout playing soft background music, allowing students in their third year and above to invite partners and dance.
