"Hello, Xu Luoning. This is Shen Yanzhi."
Shen Yanzhi’s voice came through the phone, gentle and clear, as if one could feel the warmth behind his words. His tone carried a sense of composure that made one involuntarily relax, like finding a quiet harbor in the midst of a busy urban life. There was a reassuring power in his voice, like a clear spring flowing into every corner of the soul, providing a touch of comfort amidst a tense rhythm.
Shen Yanzhi? Could something have happened to Elder Shen? That didn't seem right. She remembered using the "Golden Needle Crossing Tribulation" to save Elder Shen back then, so what could this be about?
"Hello, Mr. Shen. May I ask what the reason for your call is? Is something wrong with Elder Shen?"
"It’s not about my grandfather. The doctor says he can be discharged in a couple of days. The reason I’m calling is that I learned you have joined the cast of *The Great Yin Dynasty*, and I was wondering if you would be willing to consider joining Shen's Entertainment?"
Shen Yanzhi’s voice held a trace of undeniable sincerity and expectation, as if he were opening a door to the future right in front of her. His tone revealed his recognition of Xu Luoning’s talent and a bright vision for the future. His words contained not only appreciation for her personal abilities but also an unshakable belief in her potential; he was convinced that her joining would bring new vitality and innovation to Shen's Entertainment.
Things began to clear up in Xu Luoning’s mind. With the intense work schedule of filming *The Great Yin Dynasty* lately, she had almost forgotten about this influential figure. However, she was well aware that Shen's Entertainment was a solid choice—a platform that could bring a massive leap to her acting career. She remembered people saying that the resources and background of Shen's Entertainment were second to none in the industry. Joining such a company would undoubtedly bring more opportunities and challenges to her professional life. Plus, she currently had no agency or assistant and had to handle everything herself, which significantly increased the difficulty and pressure of her work. She often thought about how wonderful it would be to have a strong team supporting her from behind the scenes, allowing her to focus on acting instead of being bogged down by trivial matters.
Given its deep background and extensive resources in the entertainment industry, Shen's Entertainment was undoubtedly an ideal choice. She took a deep breath, collected her thoughts, and replied:
"Hello, Mr. Shen. Thank you very much for the invitation. I am certainly interested. It’s just that I am currently with the film crew and cannot leave for the time being."
Her voice held a hint of determination, while also revealing her anticipation for the future and her respect for Shen's Entertainment. She knew this was an important decision, one that might change the trajectory of her life, and she needed to consider it carefully.
On the other end of the line, Shen Yanzhi seemed to have anticipated such a response. He replied gently:
"That is no problem at all. I will have someone deliver the contract to you. Consider it a small token of my gratitude for saving my grandfather’s life."
There was a note of genuine appreciation in his words. He remembered how Xu Luoning had used her medical skills and patience to bring his grandfather back from the brink of danger at the hospital that day. He pictured her busy figure on set, her dedication to her work, and her persistent pursuit of her craft.
A warmth washed over Xu Luoning upon hearing this, and she replied sincerely:
"Then I shall trouble you, Mr. Shen. After Elder Shen is discharged, I suggest he continue taking the prescription I provided for another month. I will examine him in person once I return."
