Liu Bufan's mouth kept twitching after he read the message.
Actually, Jiang Cheng couldn't really be blamed. Even though Liu Bufan's past exploits were widely circulated, not many people knew what he looked like.
Besides, the contrast between his appearance after his disfigurement and his previous image was so huge that failing to recognize him was entirely normal.
Watching Liu Bufan's twitching mouth, Jiang Wan'er was curious about what on earth he had seen on the phone.
Before she could even ask, she heard Liu Bufan say "gently":
"Honey, after my dear brother-in-law got beaten up, was he crying out loud?"
Then he handed the phone to Jiang Wan'er.
Upon seeing the message on the screen, Jiang Wan'er's mouth started twitching nonstop too.
Let's not even get into whether this actually happened—is this even a real brother? Publicly taking a side! And not even siding with his own flesh and blood!
It seemed it was time to let this kid learn why flowers are so red!
Before the volcano even erupted, the phone pinged again:
Brother-in-law, I saw it crystal clear through the binoculars!
This jerk handed his phone to my sister. Such a personal item being so easily handed to someone else means they definitely have a thing going on! Hurry over, I'm keeping an eye on them for you!
Jiang Cheng wasn't wrong. Those two had far more than just "a thing going on"—they had two kids already, for goodness' sake.
Jiang Wan'er suppressed the urge to beat someone up and replied using Liu Bufan's tone:
Where exactly are you! I'll be right there!
Jiang Cheng:
I'm on top of the castle on the east side of the amusement park, right next to the binoculars. The greenest dinosaur is me! Remember, the greenest one!
Jiang Wan'er bared two vicious little fangs, grabbed Liu Bufan, bought their tickets, and headed straight for the castle.
Just then, another message came in:
Brother-in-law, this is bad. I got distracted replying to your message and lost them! Hurry up and meet up with me so we can look together!
Jiang Wan'er gave a cold chuckle:
Then you better wait right there for me!
Seeing the message, Jiang Cheng felt a chill run down his spine. Something was wrong.
Yet he couldn't put his finger on what.
Still, he didn't think too much about it, scratched his head, and continued scanning through the binoculars.
Jiang Wan'er, having just stepped into the amusement park, spotted that splash of green on top of the castle 500 meters away almost instantly.
Liu Bufan was somewhat surprised by this. Since when had his wife's eyesight become so sharp?
A distance of 500 meters, and in such a complex surrounding environment, no less.
Not that he thought too deeply about it—women, after all, always possessed some mind-boggling skills.
For instance, that ridiculously accurate sixth sense—the superpower that always precisely located his hidden stash of secret money, or the ability to sniff a shirt and know how many girls he called to service at a legitimate foot-massage parlor at night, and so on...
Meanwhile, completely oblivious to the fate about to befall him, Jiang Cheng was still working hard through his binoculars to find that jerk who was even more handsome than himself.
Admittedly, that guy looked like a peerless match for his sister, truly looking better suited to her than his own brother-in-law.
But at the end of the day, that was still his brother-in-law, wasn't it?
Besides, a man had to look at his inner core. In his projections, his brother-in-law was practically a character about to turn on infinite cheats!
Just as he was thinking this, alarm bells suddenly blared in Jiang Cheng's heart!
Subconsciously, he jerked his head to the side...
*Thump.*
Everyone only saw a green dinosaur knocked down by a sneaker that descended from the heavens.
"Hah, trying to dodge from me? If you hadn't dodged, I wouldn't have hit you!"
Jiang Wan'er rushed forward in a single bound and began a stormy round of disciplinary action against Jiang Cheng right through the dinosaur suit.
"Ow, who is this?
Not the face...
Help, someone's beating a dinosaur to death!"
The onlookers hadn't even processed what was happening.
They only saw the greenest head out of all the green dinosaur hoods flying up into the sky.
In a daze, Jiang Cheng with his new panda eyes only saw his sister leap into the arms of a handsome man, whimpering incessantly.
"Darling, his headpiece is too hard; it bruised my hand.
Come help me beat him up~"
Liu Bufan looked in shock at the spoiled little girl in his arms, finding it hard to believe she had been a violent dragon-slayer a mere five seconds ago.
Shocked as he was, though, a wife's words still had to be obeyed.
Seeing that handsome hunk—who was even better-looking than himself—glaring at him with ill intent,
Jiang Cheng could only wonder who he was, where he was, and what on earth was happening!
Amidst another stormy onslaught from Liu Bufan, the onlookers only saw a dinosaur being dragged by its tail into a restaurant.
Passerby A: "Should we have called the police just now?"
Passerby B: "What, call the police? Do you want to become that green dragon? Those two were ferocious."
Passerby C: "That young lady just now was so cool though. No, no, I think I'm turning gay~"
...
Inside the amusement park's Fried Chicken restaurant, Jiang Cheng sat across from the lovey-dovey couple, still unable to recover from the recent violence.
Liu Bufan spoke up first:
"Jiang Cheng, you know, I was actually quite glad that you thought to tip off your brother-in-law."
Brother-in-law?
Brother-in-law!
"You're the brother-in-law!"
Jiang Cheng practically leaped out of his seat.
"Holy crap (as everyone knows, crap is a type of plant)!
You, you, you, you, you..."
Jiang Wan'er looked at him with utter disgust:
"Speak properly!"
*Gulp.*
Jiang Cheng swallowed hard,
and sat back down with his neck shrunk into his shoulders.
He was already terrified of his eldest sister, and now she had a shape-shifting brother-in-law backing her up. They were entirely too much to mess with.
Still, biting the bullet, he asked:
"Um, bro- bro- brother-in-law, does this mean you've recovered?"
Before Liu Bufan could say a word, Jiang Wan'er declared with an air of proud arrogance:
"That's right! My hubby, your brother-in-law, the idol you've always worshipped, is back! Hehe, if you ever dare upset me again, I'll have my hubby beat you up!"
Jiang Cheng had been about to squeal with joy, but upon hearing those last words, his already retracted neck shrank in even further.
"Eldest sister, I don't think I've ever upset you."
"Then what are you doing here!
And wearing a dinosaur suit to boot. Don't tell me you're working a part-time job; it's not like I give you a stingy allowance!"
Hearing that, Jiang Cheng realized this was where the trap was laid. It was all because he had tipped off his brother-in-law and picked the wrong side.
Circumstances were stronger than man, though; bowing his head and admitting mistakes in front of his eldest sister was no disgrace.
Just as he was about to confess, Jiang Cheng suffered a sudden jolt. If he apologized now, wouldn't that prove he wasn't on the same page as his brother-in-law? Damn it, a fatal question!
Fortunately, he was quick-witted. Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes,
"I came here to go on a date with a girl!"
Jiang Wan'er, who had been looking for an excuse to beat Jiang Cheng up again, was utterly shocked to hear this.
Although her younger brother appeared to be a rich second-generation heir on the surface, he had been raised with strict family discipline since childhood and didn't run with the same crowd as his older and younger cousins.
Forget picking up girls—up until now, 19-year-old Jiang Cheng had never even touched alcohol.
"Are you telling the truth?"
Meeting Jiang Wan'er's suspicious gaze, Jiang Cheng thought: Today *was* indeed the day he came to meet Bai Moli for their annual duel.
Bai Moli might not have anything to do with soft, gentle girls, but she was still a female. Since they had agreed to meet for a duel, by rounding things up, it practically counted as a date! So saying he was on a date with a girl wasn't technically wrong at all!
