The scenery here was picturesque, almost like something out of a poem: "Withered vines, old trees, and gloomy crows; small bridges, flowing water, and cozy homes; ancient roads, a west wind, and a lean horse; the setting sun in the west, with a heartbroken traveler at the ends of the earth."
