The most obvious example is that the Denglingzi lineage only ever forged two famous swords: the Water Cold sword and the Fanhong.
The Qin Mohists, however, were different. Later legendary swords such as the Yuanhong, Tianzhao, Guantai Dingqin sword, and Epang Dingqin sword all originated from them. In the art of sword-forging, the Qin Mohist lineage had long surpassed that of the Six-Fingered Black Knight.
Therefore, asking the Qin Mohists to proactively learn from the Six-Fingered Black Knight's lineage was simply a matter of pride; they could never bring themselves to lower their heads.
