The commander of the second column of five hundred light cavalry frowned. It was common sense not to pursue a desperate enemy, especially when an obvious ambush had been discovered. Under such circumstances, underestimating the enemy and pressing forward rashly was out of the question.
"The light cavalry will act as the rear guard. Once my heavy cavalry engage the ambush forces, the light cavalry are to skirt around the position and continue the pursuit," Fusu said, noticing the commander's hesitation.
The commander nodded and patted Fusu on the shoulder. He could understand Fusu's state of mind; with the commanding general dead, the pressure was immense, and his mood was anything but calm.
