Based on the current understanding of artificial intelligence on the Blue Planet, the science and technology sector (primarily in the West) currently divides artificial intelligence into three categories: weak AI, strong AI, and superintelligence.
So-called weak AI refers to artificial intelligence that excels in a single aspect. For instance, AlphaGo defeated the world chess champion, but it only knows how to play Go; if asked questions outside of that domain, it has no idea how to respond.
Strong AI is a human-level artificial intelligence. It refers to an AI capable of rivaling humans across all aspects, able to handle any mental labor that humans can. It is intelligent software capable of independent thinking, planning, problem-solving, abstract thinking, understanding complex concepts, rapid learning, and learning from experience.
