Mom was very happy about the recent improvement in the guesthouse business. Even though things had gotten busy, life felt fulfilling, and most importantly, seeing daily income—unlike the past few months of holing up at home doing nothing and watching their savings slowly dwindle—gave her peace of mind.
Of course, knowing that her son was now capable and making good money, she still found it somewhat surreal; earning a few hard-earned bucks the honest way was the only thing that truly set her mind at ease.
