Chi Wan could not remember what time she had fallen asleep, but when she woke up, it was only half-past six in the morning.
Sitting up in bed, she hugged her blanket with a look of utter distress. After a long moment, she rubbed her face with both hands as if to vent her frustration. "Ouch!" A sharp pain on her left cheek finally cleared away her muddled thoughts.
With the day still early, she curled around her blanket and lay back down, kicking the mattress a couple of times a moment later, looking rather irritable.
