October 25th, around 5:00 PM. Following a grueling day of relentless fighting that lasted through the afternoon, Zhang Shen’s troops finally cleared the Rakshasa Army from the vicinity of the western wall once the sun had completely vanished. The sky turned murky and the wind grew chilling. The western wall was carpeted with corpses, and the stench of gunpowder and fresh blood lingered heavily over the land. The bodies lay in chaotic heaps—mangled limbs and broken remains of both the Roshians and the soldiers of the Shun Dynasty, though the former were far more numerous. Thirty minutes earlier, the last pocket of Roshians who had been holding their ground within the inner wall were cornered by the Shun army. A volley of gunfire followed, and the remaining dozen or so soldiers were wiped out, marking the complete capture of the western wall by the Shun forces.
