By day, the entire city of Kalovte echoed with gunfire. Relying on close coordination and the superiority of their firearms, the Shun army pushed the Roshan front lines northward, pressing them back until they could barely resist.
When night fell, however, the Roshan soldiers launched frantic night raids, fighting desperately to retake the strongpoints and houses they had lost during the day. If their firearms lacked the advantage, they would charge forward clutching packs of explosives; with a loud bang, an entire house would go up in flames, lighting up the pitch-black night as bright as day.
