Chapter 4

With a single strike to create heaven and earth, Great God Pangu obliterated the physical bodies of all the remaining Chaos Demon Gods. Although a few Primordial Spirits escaped, they would never again be able to stir up any major trouble.
However, Great God Pangu’s final axe had been used for offense, and his world was not yet fully formed. The nascent world, which originally occupied ninety percent of the entire chaos, began to shrink gradually, slowly being eroded by chaos once more.
Seeing this, Great God Pangu seemed to realize something. His eyes held a trace of helplessness, mixed with reluctance.
"The world has already been created, which represents infinite vitality. I cannot give it up!" Reluctant as he was, Great God Pangu could not bear to watch a world brimming with vitality perish.
When the new world had shrunk to the size of ten thousand zhang, Great God Pangu raised the sky with his hands and stepped upon the earth with his feet, propping up the entire world to prevent it from collapsing. He burned his own cultivation, causing his body to grow larger.
After an unknown number of years, Great God Pangu had burned away all of his cultivation, and his body had reached its absolute limit. The new world, too, had attained a sufficient size.
With a flick of his hands, the Pangu Axe in his grip split into three, transforming into those supreme Xiantian treasures: the Taiji Diagram, the Pangu Banner, and the Chaos Bell.
With a single wave of the Taiji Diagram by Great God Pangu, it transformed into a golden bridge connecting heaven and earth, and the turbulent earth, water, fire, and wind raging between heaven and earth instantly subsided.
Wielding the Pangu Banner, he lashed out at the chaos, and the collapsing void froze instantly, no longer closing in.
With the Chaos Bell hovering above his head, the reverberating peals of the bell rang out grandly, stabilizing the entire new world. After sorting out the celestial bodies of the firmament, he immersed himself in the profound insights of creation.
Yet at this very moment, a patch of purple tribulation clouds emerged above him, with divine thunder rolling within them. It was not Chaos Divine Lightning, but the World-Destruction Purple Thunder.
"The Great Dao? I refuse to accept this!"
Great God Pangu let out an angry roar. He had never expected that the Great Dao would refuse to let him survive at all. Watching that bolt of World-Destruction Purple Thunder descend, he was powerless to resist; his magical power was already completely exhausted, leaving him with no means to defend himself.
Boom...
The Jade Plate of Creation above Great God Pangu shattered into pieces, and with it, Great God Pangu fell, his body transforming into a part of the new heaven and earth.
......
The Honghuang world nurtured all things, and countless species appeared upon the Honghuang continent. Over countless years, many inanimate things transformed into animate beings.
Endowed with exceptional natural luck, these animate beings were capable of cultivation from birth, gradually taking on human form and wandering across Honghuang.
After another unknown passage of time, a brutal tribe appeared in the northern region of Honghuang. Lacking intelligence and knowing only how to slaughter, this was the ferocious beast tribe, formed from the convergence of the blood and lingering souls of the Chaos Demon Gods. Because of their innate malevolence, they wreaked havoc throughout Honghuang.
Meanwhile, in the western part of the Honghuang continent, atop a ten-thousand-zhang divine mountain, billowing black clouds gathered. Within the dark clouds hovered a black lotus with twelve blooming petals. Atop the lotus sat a young man draped in black Daoist robes.
After a long time, the youth opened his eyes, exhaled a breath of stale air, and cast his gaze around him, his face revealing joy.
"How many yuanhui has it been? My foundation is finally repaired. Although my cultivation has dropped quite a bit, my life and foundation are safe after all, and the rest matters little," Luohou murmured to himself.
This youth was none other than Luohou, the Chaos Demon God who controlled the Law of Magic. During Great God Pangu's final strike, Luohou had used the World-Destruction Millstone to protect his Primordial Spirit from destruction, thereby managing to survive.
One must know that he was the sole Chaos Demon God of the Hunyuan Golden Immortal realm to survive; as for the other survivors, nearly all were of the Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal realm.
Presently, Luohou's cultivation was at the Early Daluo Golden Immortal stage, but such a cultivation level was more than enough in the current Honghuang. After all, with heaven and earth having just opened, how many mighty figures could there possibly be?
Furthermore, Luohou possessed a supreme treasure like the World-Destruction Millstone. Even though its rank had been battered down by the Pangu Axe during that final blow, it still possessed the rank of a Xiantian supreme treasure.
Moreover, when his Primordial Spirit entered Honghuang, he was blessed with profound fortune, landing right beside the Twelfth-Grade World-Destruction Black Lotus. This lotus was formed from one of the four lotus seeds of the Thirty-Sixth-Grade Chaos Green Lotus. Though merely a Top-Grade Xiantian Spirit Treasure, its defense was unrivaled.
With these two treasures, he had more than enough to roam Honghuang freely.
"According to legends from my past life, my companion treasures should also include the Four Swords of Immortal-Slaying and the Immortal-Slaying Formation Diagram. Why are they not here? Could the legends be false?"
Suddenly, Luohou recalled rumors from his past life. He ought to have possessed four supreme treasures: the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation, the Twelfth-Grade World-Destruction Black Lotus, the Nine Demons Pagoda, and the God-Killing Spear.
Although the Nine Demons Pagoda and the God-Killing Spear were acquired later on, the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation and the Twelfth-Grade World-Destruction Black Lotus were supposed to be his companion treasures!
Could the Great Dao have confiscated his Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation simply because he already possessed the World-Destruction Millstone?
Though the World-Destruction Millstone contained supreme might, Luohou knew that in terms of practicality, the Immortal-Slaying Sword Formation completely surpassed the World-Destruction Millstone. The mere fact that it could not be breached by anyone other than four Sages made it incomparable to the World-Destruction Millstone.
However, another thought occurred to Luohou: perhaps the Four Swords of Immortal-Slaying and the Immortal-Slaying Formation Diagram were not born naturally, but rather needed to be forged.
A verse served as proof: *Neither copper nor iron nor forged steel, once hidden beneath Mount Sumeru;* *Without reversing Yin and Yang to smelt them, how could water and fire temper their keen edge?* *The Immortal-Slaying is sharp, the Slaughtering brings doom, the Trapping stirs up crimson light on all sides;* *The Decapitating's transformations hold infinite wonders, leaving great immortals' robes stained with blood.*
After pinching his fingers to calculate, Luohou understood: the location where he currently stood was Mount Sumeru.
It seemed the Four Swords of Immortal-Slaying and the Immortal-Slaying Formation Diagram were both things he would have to forge himself. But judging by the present, he likely lacked the ability to forge them yet. He might as well travel across Honghuang while those mighty figures had yet to emerge, seizing the initiative.
Luohou set up a grand formation on Mount Sumeru, effectively claiming it as his own. From then on, this would be his Daoist sanctuary. Having finished everything, Luohou mounted the clouds and departed from Mount Sumeru.
As the saying went, all spiritual treasures of Honghuang were concentrated in Mount Buzhou, and all spiritual roots of Honghuang were in the East China Sea.
Naturally, Luohou planned to visit these two places first. Since he resided at Mount Sumeru in the western part of Honghuang, heading to the East China Sea meant he would pass right by Mount Buzhou.
Traveling slowly on a cloud through Honghuang, he was not in any particular hurry. What belonged to him would never slip away, and what did not belong to him would remain unfound even if he reached the destination.
Along the way, Luohou did witness quite a few scenes of ferocious beasts slaughtering living beings. Naturally, every time he encountered such an incident, Luohou would step in to annihilate the ferocious beasts. This was not because he had a kind heart, but because slaying ferocious beasts yielded descending Merit from the heavens.
Though the amount was small, through accumulation over countless kills, it would eventually grow into a towering mountain.
Unawares, tens of thousands of years passed. Because Luohou had slain ferocious beasts and saved numerous cultivators, his formidable reputation began to echo throughout Honghuang.
Whenever cultivators spoke of the Ancestor of Magic Luohou, every single one of them praised his Merit, hailing him as a thoroughly good man of Honghuang.
This left Luohou somewhat speechless. Wasn't he supposed to be extremely wicked and bloodthirsty? How did he end up becoming a paragon of virtue?
