With a blur before my eyes, a punch came straight for my face.

A burst of golden light erupted as Xie Yi transformed into Super Saiyan 1.
Vegeta's punch landed squarely on Xie Yi's face. Xie Yi's head tilted slightly to the side, but then a smile crept onto the corner of his mouth as he turned his head back.
"Vegeta!"
Xie Yi let out a mighty roar. Golden aura surged upwards, his golden hair standing on end with a single lock hanging over his forehead, and lightning crackled all around him.
Vegeta was blown back by the pressure. When he saw Xie Yi again—
"Oh? I see. Not only can you transform into Super Saiyan 1, but you've also mastered Super Saiyan 2. Very well, I'll defeat you first, and then go deal with Kakarot, so you all know who the true strongest in the universe is!"
"Thump, thump, thump!"
Lightning crackled around Vegeta's body—Super Saiyan 2 had arrived!
Once the transformations were complete, both of them moved the battleground up into the sky.
Yade let out a sigh of relief at the sight, while the rest of the Yardratians trembled all over from the terrifying pressure.
High above, gales howled and thunder crashed. The two combatants' auras continued to climb as they prepared to settle who was superior.
"Ah-ah!"
"Ya-ya!"
After pushing their power to the absolute limit, the golden auras vanished, and the lightning crackling around their bodies grew even denser.
"Super Saiyan 2 Full Power?"
Both of them spoke in unison, completely taken aback.
"Defeated foe, you've finally earned the right to trade blows with me."
"Vegeta, I am definitely going to beat you to a pulp today."
"Prepare yourself!"
Xie Yi flashed behind Vegeta and threw a punch. Vegeta reached back, spun around, and already had an Energy Blast charging in his left hand.
"Boom!"
The Energy Blast detonated right against Xie Yi's stomach, and a hand reached out from the smoke.
"Vegeta, that didn't even tickle."
Vegeta sneered, "Of course I know. I just wanted to see what you're actually made of now."
With that, Vegeta lunged forward with a flurry of punches, executing a seamless and airtight assault that forced Xie Yi onto the defensive.
"What's the matter, defeated foe?"
Xie Yi's brows knitted tightly. Vegeta's repeated use of "defeated foe" had thoroughly enraged him.
"Bang!"
Xie Yi caught Vegeta's fist in one hand and, taking advantage of his momentary astonishment, hurled him away.
"Ora-ora-ora! Ora-ora!"
Xie Yi thrust both hands forward, unleashing a barrage of Energy Blasts.
Faced with the ferocious onslaught, Vegeta steadied himself, the corners of his mouth curling into a smile.
"Hah-ah! Take this!"
The Prince's onslaught rained out across the sky.
Xie Yi swiped away the smoke in front of him with one hand, sensed Vegeta's energy, and flashed forward.
Vegeta wore a crooked smile and vanished instantly.
Xie Yi's punch hit nothing, and he realized Vegeta was gone.
Where is he?
"Hey!"
A blinding glare shone down from above.
"Galick Gun!"
"Kabloom!"
Xie Yi crossed his arms to block as Vegeta flashed in and struck him with a blow.
Ugh!
Xie Yi took the hit head-on, grabbed Vegeta's arm, and erupted with explosive power.
"You're done for!"
Vegeta coldly coated his right arm in golden aura, and the shockwave from his ki blasted Xie Yi flying backward.
"Hmph! You think you can win with cheap tricks? Do you really think that's possible?"
Vegeta gathered ki in both hands.
A terrifying pressure burst forth. Xie Yi placed his left hand over his right arm and began charging his energy.
"Final Flash!"
"Energy Burst Cannon!"
The golden and blue energy blasts collided, and Planet Yardrat began to shake violently.
"Hraaaagh!"
"Yaaaaagh!"
As both men pushed their power to the max, the Ki Blast grew even stronger and more massive than before.
"Rumble-rumble-boom!"
After the beam struggle, both of their auras began to wane.
Vegeta said, "It seems you're qualified to fight me now. As expected of a Saiyan—your failure last time didn't make you lose confidence. That is the true pride of a Saiyan!"
Hearing this, Xie Yi thought internally, *What the hell, Vegeta, why did you assume I'd lose confidence? What Saiyan pride am I supposed to be guarding?*
"I'm just here to win back my pride!"
"Kaio-ken!"
A crimson aura enveloped the golden one, and the lightning crackling around him grew even denser.
Xie Yi moved, greeting Vegeta's confident face with a flurry of attacks.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Until a side kick blew Vegeta away.
Xie Yi was breathing slightly heavily, whereas Vegeta was smiling.
"What's wrong, kid? Is that the extent of your strength? The Kaio-ken is certainly impressive, but using this technique on top of the Super Saiyan 2 transformation—"
"How much longer can you possibly last?"
"Kakarot's moves always get my blood boiling."
The moment Vegeta clenched his fist, his figure vanished.
While Xie Yi was still searching for where he had appeared—
"Bang!"
A wave of dizziness washed over his head as Vegeta's punch landed squarely on his face.
As his facial features distorted from the impact, Xie Yi was sent flying backward, and the Kaio-ken aura vanished.
"Couldn't maintain the Kaio-ken form all the way through, huh?"
"Damn it!"
Xie Yi spat out a mouthful of spit, dropping out of the Super Saiyan 2 state back into Super Saiyan Full Power.
"Huh?"
Under Vegeta's puzzled gaze, the crimson aura once again enveloped the golden flames around Xie Yi's body, erupting outward.
"Kaio-ken!!!"
