The once-prosperous city was now devoid of human presence, its magnificent buildings reduced to decay by the erosion of time, their surfaces covered in dust and cobwebs. Yet, the writing on a few surviving plaques was still legible.
These were characters unique to the Demon race, which translated to: Gathering Residence, Moon-Embracing Studio, and Joy-Hosting Courtyard.
Yaohua had no memory of these places. After all, by the time she was born, this city had already been buried deep underground and was nowhere to be seen. But from their names, it was not difficult to guess their functions.
