Shangguan Ziyan held her husband’s hand as they entered the palace, though she intended to pull her hand away. The First Prince, however, was hopelessly smitten and couldn't let go at all. Though, in his mind, he felt his mother wouldn't make things difficult for her daughter-in-law anyway, as she was usually such a gentle woman.
