Chapter 7

The young woman had an arrogant personality, and upon seeing Chen Xiao's disdainful gaze, a fire instantly ignited inside her.
Chen Xiao found it somewhat ridiculous.
She didn't understand?
What a joke!
The boxing technique the old man was practicing was something he had casually created himself back on the mountain when he was bored.
"If you don't understand, don't just stare blindly. My grandfather's boxing isn't something you can comprehend," the girl said with dissatisfaction.
As she spoke, she lifted her chin slightly, her attitude extremely haughty.
The old man stopped what he was doing and immediately reprimanded, "Xiaoshuang, don't be rude."
The girl reluctantly closed her mouth, then cast a contemptuous glance at Chen Xiao.
Seeing that the old man's attitude was quite good, Chen Xiao said indifferently, "Old man, the way you're throwing those punches is wrong."
The old man before him was named Bai Qingshan, the former president of this university.
In Fuhai City, this man commanded immense respect, and many influential figures had once been his students.
Hearing Chen Xiao's words, Bai Shuang could not help sneering again, "Country bumpkin, how could my grandfather's boxing possibly be wrong? You really are brazen."
Chen Xiao's expression turned cold. "Speak to me with some respect."
If the person speaking to him had been a male, he would have already slapped him across the face.
The girl's expression shifted; she abruptly stood up and glared angrily at Chen Xiao.
She felt she had been provoked, and it had been a long time since anyone dared to speak to her like that.
Bai Qingshan's face darkened. "Xiaoshuang, sit down."
He turned his head back to look at Chen Xiao, asking in a calm tone, "Young man, what is wrong with the way I'm throwing these punches?"
"Watch closely."
Chen Xiao gave the girl a disdainful look, then slowly stood up.
This boxing technique was something Bai Qingshan had learned from a grandmaster back in the day, yet a twenty-something kid was actually claiming it was wrong.
In his heart, Bai Qingshan actually found it a bit comical.
The next moment...
They saw Chen Xiao spread his legs and gradually raise his arms, the aura around him instantly transforming.
Bai Qingshan narrowed his eyes slightly, quietly watching Chen Xiao.
Chen Xiao began executing the boxing technique with effortless ease, flowing like moving clouds and running water.
A wave of astonishment surged within Bai Qingshan's heart; he felt as though, in a momentary trance, he was witnessing the personal arrival of a Martial Dao Grandmaster.
Bai Shuang's heart also sank. Her eyes locked onto Chen Xiao, watching his every move with absolute concentration.
Both of them were completely intoxicated by it, unable to extricate themselves in the slightest.
"This is a true master," Bai Qingshan sighed in admiration.
He possessed some understanding of Ancient Martial Arts, and through Chen Xiao's performance, he realized that the boxing technique he had learned was indeed incorrect, and incomplete to boot.
The punches Chen Xiao threw were complete, giving off a completely natural, effortless feel.
Moments later, Chen Xiao withdrew his stance and stood still, fully displaying the demeanor of a grandmaster.
"Did you understand it?" Chen Xiao asked indifferently.
At this moment, he was wondering inwardly who on earth had leaked his boxing technique, and why it was passed down incorrectly.
Hearing this, Bai Qingshan snapped out of his trance and said excitedly, "I understood, I understood! Thank you, Master!"
Right at that moment, a discordant voice rang out once more.
"Hmph! So you know a little boxing, what's there to be so cocky about?" Bai Shuang said with a haughty pout, refusing to be convinced.
"Stop right there! Xiaoshuang, apologize to this Master right now!" Bai Qingshan's face darkened as he hastily scolded her.
"I won't. I didn't do anything wrong," Bai Shuang said stubbornly.
"Hurry up and apologize!" Bai Qingshan urged.
Seeing that her grandfather was genuinely angry, Bai Shuang reluctantly stood up and faced Chen Xiao.
"Sorry."
Chen Xiao let out a cold, indifferent grunt, not bothering to waste another word on her.
"This old man is Bai Qingshan. May I be so bold as to ask for your esteemed name, Master?" Bai Qingshan asked with a flattering smile.
"Chen Xiao."
Bai Qingshan continued, "Master Chen, please forgive me for any offense I caused earlier."
"It's fine."
Chen Xiao waved his hand dismissively, then asked out of curiosity, "Who did you learn this boxing technique from?"
"I bought this boxing technique from Master Qingyang of Cangyun Mountain," Bai Qingshan said with a cheerful smile.
Chen Xiao was slightly stunned. This Master Qingyang was just a Daoist priest in his forties with very little real skill.
In the past, the guy always loved tailing along behind him like a persistent nuisance.
"How much did you pay for it?"
"One million."
Chen Xiao let out a cold snort, his expression turning somewhat displeased.
Not only did the guy steal his boxing technique to sell it, but he actually sold it for such a cheap price.
A fire ignited in his chest; he wished he could teleport right back up the mountain and give Qingyang a thorough beating.
Having gotten his answer, Chen Xiao turned and prepared to walk away.
Seeing this, Bai Qingshan hurriedly stepped forward to block his path.
"Is there something else?" Chen Xiao asked.
"Master Chen, today you imparted this boxing technique to me, and this old man is endlessly grateful."
"I was hoping you might leave your contact information so that I can prepare a generous gift later and visit your home to properly thank you," Bai Qingshan said somewhat sheepishly.
Hearing that the old man intended to give him a gift, Chen Xiao's eyes lit up, and he left his contact details.
After Chen Xiao departed, Bai Shuang looked at Bai Qingshan with utter incomprehension.
"Grandfather, why are you being so respectful to him? And you even want to go visit him at his home—given your status, it should be him coming to pay respects to you," Bai Shuang said dismissively.
"What do you know? Don't let his youth fool you; this is a true master, and his future prospects are bound to be immeasurable," Bai Qingshan said with a solemn and resolute expression.
Bai Shuang's expression shifted. She had never heard her grandfather speak of anyone else with such a high evaluation.
After leaving, Chen Xiao felt a bit thirsty and intended to buy a bottle of water, only to realize he didn't have a single penny on him.
The four hundred thousand that Liu Feng had given him for free had been handed directly to Qi Chuyao at the time, leaving him completely broke now.
"Looks like I need to make some money. People online say a man can't be without money, and I'll have to support a wife in the future—who knows how many I might end up with..."
Chen Xiao muttered to himself as he pondered ways to make money.
"Is it him?"
"Yeah, that's him."
Chen Xiao raised his head and saw six male students striding aggressively toward him.
One of them, a guy wearing glasses, was the same person who had been in the classroom earlier.
Before long, the six male students surrounded Chen Xiao in a circle.
Chen Xiao pointed at himself and asked, "Are you looking for me?"
"That's right."
The leading male student glared at Chen Xiao with a face full of fury and resentment.
"You're Qi Chuyao's boyfriend?"
Chen Xiao shook his head and said, "I'm not her boyfriend."
The male student turned, grabbed the bespectacled guy by the collar, and snarled fiercely, "Well, well! You fucking dared to lie to me, you little punk."
The bespectacled student looked terrified, shaking his head like a rattle-drum as he aggrievedly protested, "I didn't lie to you! He admitted it himself with his own mouth."
Suspiciously, the male student turned his head back, fixing his gaze on Chen Xiao.
Chen Xiao said indifferently, "I'm indeed not her boyfriend. I'm her fiancé."
The male student's expression darkened, and he demanded angrily, "Brat, you fucking dare to play with me? Do you know who I am?"
Chen Xiao rolled his eyes and retorted irritably, "Who you are has what to do with me?"
Choked up by the reply, the male student instantly flew into a rage from embarrassment.
"My name is Shen Liang. You can go ask around about me."
The Shen Family behind Shen Liang held a great deal of influence in Fuhai City, and he himself was tyrannical and domineering at school, belonging to the tier of campus bullies.
Too lazy to waste words with him, Chen Xiao cut straight to the point. "I have no interest in knowing. Just tell me directly why you're looking for me."
