The night Mei Gongxue returned to the Rouge Shop, she developed a high fever. In her dreams, she saw the person she wished never to see again: Mei Xianghan. Amidst soaring flames, Mei Xianghan stood there, watching her in silence. Mei Gongxue gasped for air, a heavy weight pressing against her chest.
When she finally awoke, a full day had passed. Though the sun was bright outside, Mei Gongxue felt a lingering chill. Hongxiu, seeing her eyes flutter open, hurried to her side. "Miss, how are you feeling? Is there anything else that hurts?"
