The portions were modest, and the two of them polished off everything. After the meal, Jiang Jinyue took the initiative to clear the table and head into the kitchen. She loaded the dishes into the dishwasher and tidied up the kitchen before emerging. It was exactly like how things were when they were abroad: Lu Chenhuai would cook, and she would handle the cleanup.
