The well water was crisp, cool, and sweet, and a single bowl instantly washed away the restlessness brought on by farm work. The man who handed her the bowl had tips of ears turning an unnatural shade of red. Chu Qingmeng stared blankly for a moment. Years of working in the fields had tanned the man's skin to a deep bronze, and his bare back revealed a physique packed with solid muscle. Visually, he stood close to one meter eighty, sporting the rugged look of a tough guy.
