The tranquil stream rippled as it wound its way around the bends, its crystal-clear blue waters sustaining most of the life in the forest. A figure drifted slowly downstream from above, stiff as a wooden puppet, staining the water a deep crimson in its wake. Ever since I ate that fruit, my limbs had been paralyzed, and my mind was hazy from severe blood loss. Yet, as time passed, my head was growing steadily clearer. The chaotic, turbulent thoughts inside had somehow stopped their turmoil, turning instead into an absolute peace.
