Before I even had time to react, the black bear that had just drawn its last breath suddenly sat straight up like a person! Its long, scarlet tongue hung out, and its pupils—which had previously dilated and faded—were suddenly laced with bloodshot veins. The white foam at the corners of its mouth took on a reddish tint, turning into bloody froth! The bear's joints emitted several terrifying, cracking sounds, followed by a deafening roar. With a single jerk, it flipped itself right off the ground and came charging madly straight at me! The situation was critical, leaving no room for hesitation. My body reacted by reflex, rolling to the right. Almost simultaneously, the bear was already upon me! Suddenly, my body began to move on its own as if completely out of my control, driven entirely by instinct. I kicked out and struck the bear squarely in the face. The force of the kick was surprisingly huge, leaving my lower leg numb, but the giant beast didn't feel any pain at all. Without even pausing for a fraction of a second, it raised its steel-like claws and brought them straight down toward my head!
