Nangong Jiu listened to his barely audible words of thanks. Even though the voice sounded as though it had been squeezed out from the depths of his throat, it carried far more sincerity than his initial gratitude; he meant it from the bottom of his heart.
"Tianxing, go give that child some water and see if he has woken up," Nangong Jiu said, pulling the hood of her cloak up over her head as she leaned back against the chest behind her to rest.
Tianxing glanced at Black Glasses, who was still immersed in grief, then picked up the waterskin and walked toward the carriage.
