As soon as Black Glasses rushed through the doorway, he saw Nangong Jiu standing on a patch of black earth. Countless bizarre birds, having just broken out of their cocoons, were flapping their delicate wings. Their slender claws were hooked like grappling irons, and their sharp beaks looked formidable enough to pierce holes straight through solid rock. Surrounded by these strange birds, Nangong Jiu stood before a stone platform with her back to him, her hand reaching into the box on the platform. Despite the absence of any wind, her cloak and long hair were swirling around her.
