The entire lane was brimming with the warm, lively spirit of daily life. Fu Yingzhi walked down the street, carefully carrying an exquisite, lacquer-painted, gold-inlaid food basket. Qinyin followed behind her, also holding a large yellow rosewood box. The two had purposely chosen not to take the family carriage, opting instead to walk through the morning sunlight.
