When I opened my eyes, my head was throbbing as if it were about to split open. The aftereffect of that bottle of Moutai from last night was far stronger than I had imagined. Rubbing my temples, I found myself lying on a hard wooden bed, covered with a brocade quilt embroidered with mandarin ducks.
"Where is this?" I muttered, sitting up and looking around.
