Najenda paused, pondering the implications of Ye Yu's words, before shaking her head. "He is just a fat pig. While many of the people around him were recruited from the army, they are all cowards who fear death and are blinded by greed."
Ye Yu nodded to show he understood. Najenda did not ask what Ye Yu intended to do; or rather, deep down, she held a faint hope that this newly arrived deputy general might change the current state of affairs in Clara Town and protect the children who were still wandering the streets.
The conversation between Ye Yu and Najenda was kept quiet, and no one else heard it. Even Mine, sitting right beside them, paid no attention, entirely focused on devouring her meal.
