In front of the fireplace stood a strange wooden frame about half a person high, holding a wide canvas. To the prince's right were several petal-shaped containers filled with brightly colored oil paints. Evidently, Prince Rhaegar was painting.
After letting Ashara in, he continued with his unfinished work, completely unconcerned by the presence of another person in the room, and simply went on smearing paint across the canvas.
After quite a while, Ashara was still standing blankly in the middle of the room, not moving at all. Prince Rhaegar stopped, casually dropped his paintbrush, poured a glass of wine, and handed it to her.
