Saize and his companions continued drifting through the vast, boundless universe. Time seemed to stand still, and apart from the occasional low hum of the spaceship, everything was silent and peaceful.
However, this tranquility was abruptly shattered by a sudden, urgent alarm! Saize, fast asleep, woke up with a start. Muttering to himself, "Oh, for crying out loud, where on earth did this send me? Am I still inside Iron Buster?!" he rubbed his sleepy eyes, struggled to a sitting position, and looked around in utter astonishment to find that he had somehow been casually dumped in a corner of the storage room aboard Iron Buster, buried under a pile of miscellaneous clutter.
Dazed, he stumbled to his feet and wobbled toward the main control room. Reaching it at last, Saize walked straight up to the window and looked out through the transparent glass. The sight before him left him dumbfounded: Zero was locked in an intense aerial battle with a tall, towering giant whose body was predominantly a vibrant red. The two of them traded blows, their figures darting and crossing like flashes of lightning.
