Chapter 4

The next morning, sunlight streamed through the window, casting mottled shadows on the floor. Saize and Zett walked into the classroom together. The room was filled with a faint scent of books, and the desks and chairs were neatly arranged, waiting for the students to arrive. Saize and Zett found seats and sat down.
"After the beam class following today's lesson, let's go find senior Ace," Zett said, resting his chin in his hand with a daze. "I want to ask senior Ace to teach me how to transform into human form."
Taiga chimed in excitedly from the side, "Awesome! Let's go right now!" He pulled on Zett, eager to see senior Ace right away.
"Taiga, we still have classes. Let's go after we finish today's lessons," Saize said, looking at Zett and Taiga with doting affection.
Zett nodded, then pulled Taiga back to his seat. He gently patted Taiga's shoulder and comforted him, "Don't be so impatient, Taiga. Let's get through our classes first. After class, we can all go hang out together, alright?"
Though slightly reluctant, Taiga nodded in agreement. He looked at Zett with eyes full of anticipation, hoping the end of class would come quickly.
Saize smiled as he watched the two of them, feeling a deep sense of warmth. He knew that both Zett and Taiga were lively and active kids, but he also understood the importance of studying. If they didn't acquire the proper knowledge in the Ultraman universe, they wouldn't even be able to tell what a monster was based on the little bit of Ultraman media they had watched on their own.
As the class bell rang, the teacher walked into the room. The lesson began, and Saize listened intently to the lecture, occasionally jotting down key points in his notebook. Zett and Taiga also tried their best to concentrate, but their minds had already flown off to senior Ace.
Time dragged on slowly until the final bell finally rang. Zett and Taiga bolted out of the classroom like arrows released from a bow, with Saize following closely behind. They arrived at senior Ace's residence and knocked on the door with joyful anticipation.
The door opened, and senior Ace appeared before them. "Why are you boys here?" senior Ace asked with a smile.
"Senior Ace, we want to learn how to transform into human form!" Zett and Taiga said in unison.
Seeing the eager look in their eyes, senior Ace readily agreed. "Alright, then let me teach you."
Over the time that followed, senior Ace patiently guided Zett and Taiga. They studied diligently and practiced repeatedly, eventually mastering the technique of transforming into humans.
The human form Zett took on was that of a short little cutie with black hair. Taiga also had black hair, with a tuft of white hair right in the middle. There was no telling who he inherited that white tuft from.
Saize looked at Zett, then looked at Taiga. He reached out and ruffled the hair on Taiga's head.
Watching Saize pet Taiga's head, Zett puffed out his cheeks and complained, "Big brother, why are you only messing up Taiga's hair? Why won't you touch mine?" Saize looked at Zett's expression and pinched his cheek. "I'd love to pet your head too, but you're just too short!" With that, he deliberately raised his hand high up in the air.
Seeing Saize's smug look, Zett stamped his feet in frustration. He jumped up, trying to grab Saize's hand, but the height difference was too great, and he couldn't reach at all. Seeing this scene, Taiga couldn't help bursting into laughter.
Hearing Taiga's laughter, Zett turned his head and glared at him. Then, a mischievous thought suddenly crossed his mind, and a sly grin appeared on his face. He ran up behind Saize, leaped hard, and threw his arms around Saize's neck, trying to force him to lower his head. Taken aback by the sudden move, Saize nevertheless cooperated by lowering his head.
Seizing the opportunity, Zett reached out and ruffled Saize's hair, then quickly scampered away. Saize stood there dazed for a moment before snapping back to reality. He looked at Zett and shook his head helplessly, while Zett proudly made a funny face at him.
Watching the interaction between them, a smile appeared on Ace's face. "Saize, it looks like you really dote on your younger brother!"
Saize nodded. "Naturally, senior Ace. After all, he's my only remaining family." He then added, "Besides, isn't it the same among you Ultra Brothers? Even though some members aren't related by blood, the bonds between you are just like those of real brothers."
Hearing this, Ace paused slightly. He gazed at Saize, a wave of emotion welling up in his heart. At that moment, Saize turned to look at Zett, his eyes filled with doting affection and care. Watching Saize like this, Ace couldn't help recalling the wonderful times he had shared with the other Ultra Brothers in the past.
In those days, they fought together, grew together, supported one another, and cared for one another. Although not all of them were related by blood, that deep bond had long since transcended the limits of family ties.
Ace said with deep emotion, "Indeed, even without blood ties, we are still one loving family." He believed that as long as they all pulled together, they could overcome any difficulty and protect the peace of the universe.
Seeing Ace's emotional state, Saize smiled faintly—a smile as warm and gentle as the spring sunshine. He turned around, took Zett's small hand, and began to lead him back.
"I'm taking Zett back now. Could you please help me send Taiga home?" Saize's voice was calm and firm, as if he were telling Ace the most natural thing in the world.
Ace nodded in agreement. He carefully scooped up Taiga and held him tight in his arms. By now, Taiga had fallen soundly asleep, his breathing steady and deep, seemingly completely unaffected by the "battle" just moments ago.
Ace raised his head, his gaze following the departing figures of Saize and Zett. Their silhouettes stood out clearly in the glow of the Plasma Spark Tower. Saize's tall and upright figure held Zett's tiny hand, and their steps were firm and strong, as if declaring something to the world.
A trace of envy flickered in Ace's eyes. He knew there was a special emotional bond between Saize and Taiga, one that connected them tightly and made them inseparable.
Ace silently watched them until their figures vanished into the distance. He lowered his head, glanced at the sleeping Taiga in his arms, and let out a gentle sigh.
"Don't worry, little one, I'll take you home," Ace whispered softly. His tone was filled with tenderness and care, as if he were speaking to his own child.
Carrying Taiga, Ace walked step by step toward home. His pace was steady and resolute, every step carrying anticipation and hope for the future.
When they finally arrived home, Saize carried the sleepy Zett to his bed, tucked him in securely, and then returned to his own room.
"System, pull up the system interface for me."
"Understood."
Ultraman Saize, Skills: Yin-Yang Shield: Immune to most beam attacks, with proficient manipulation of Yin and Yang energies. Solar Detonation: Detonates all personal energy. The first wave of damage manifests as a violent explosion, while the second wave triggers regional spatial collapse, forming a black hole that devours surrounding enemies. Mars Beam: Capable of completely obliterating enemies at the molecular level. Passive: Infinite Healing: Can continuously utilize healing abilities and steadily increase self-healing speed. However, this healing ability cannot be applied to oneself. If used on oneself, the healing effect is significantly diminished. Infinite Energy: Consumes no energy when used, and can even transfer energy to others. Blade of Survival: Grants one chance to cheat death and restores 50% of personal condition. Healing Art: Exhibits exceptional therapeutic efficacy against fatal injuries caused by healing beams and physical combat techniques.
After reading his own profile, the corners of Saize's mouth curved higher and higher.
With so many abilities, I'm pretty strong right now. I honestly feel terrifyingly strong right now.
"Hey, host," the system's voice echoed in his mind. "Didn't you say before that you wanted to bind with Zett for brotherhood? I don't think that's going to work. How about I just give you points each time? 1,000 points for a regular draw, 5,000 points for a medium draw, 10,000 points for an advanced draw, and 15,000 points for a super draw. You can draw once per threshold. You currently have 2,000 points."
Hearing the system's words, the protagonist's eyes lit up. "Then give me two regular draws first!" He couldn't wait to see what good stuff he could pull.
As the system prompt sounded, the results of the draw were announced:
"Ding! Congratulations on obtaining a Weapon Fusion Ticket." "Ding! Congratulations on obtaining a Custom Transformation Device Card."
Looking at the two cards in his hand, the protagonist wore a satisfied smile. Both cards were extremely practical items that could help him boost his strength. Especially the Weapon Fusion Ticket, which would allow him to fuse different weapons together to create an even more powerful arm. And the Custom Transformation Device Card would let him design a unique transformation device tailored to his own preferences and needs.
"Host, host!" the system's voice echoed in his mind. "Remember what you were thinking about earlier? Turning the Blade of Survival into a transformation device!"
"Oh, right! At the time, I think I just poured energy into the Blade of Survival to make it turn into a transformation device. But now, with this transformation device card, I can customize its shape myself."
"That's right! You can choose to turn it into a bracelet, a personal weapon, or a Kamen Rider belt, among various other forms," the system said excitedly.
"Whoa, that's so cool! I want a weapon-type one," I replied excitedly.
"Alright, then what kind of weapon does the host specifically want?" the system asked curiously.
"I hope to be able to draw a weapon out of the void, then slice open the void in front of me, and walk right through it. After that, a door made of light and darkness will appear in the sky, and finally, I'll walk out of it in my Ultraman form. Also, I hope to be in an invincible state during this whole process," Saize described his vision with full expectation.
"Host, you're planning to use the transformation card to achieve complete invincibility!" the system said in surprise.
"Haha, just tell me if it can be done or not?" I asked with a smile.
"Of course it can! Even though it feels a bit childish, thinking about it carefully, it really is quite cool!" the system replied with a laugh.
"Weapon fusion—what can I fuse, System?"
"You could try fusing your Blade of Survival with the Mars Beam. That way, it'll gain that exceptionally powerful cutting power. Since the Mars Beam can obliterate enemies from the molecular level, wouldn't such a weapon become even sharper?"
Saize decided to follow the system's suggestion and fuse the Blade of Survival with the Mars Beam. He concentrated his focus and brought the two powers together. Instantly, brilliant light flared, and the Blade of Survival underwent a miraculous transformation.
The fused blade radiated a scorching aura, its edge flashing with a mysterious light. Wielding this brand-new razor-sharp weapon, Saize felt an unprecedented surge of power.
The blade's original appearance was gone. It had transformed into a weapon with a straight spine and a razor-sharp edge, with a golden dragon head carved at the bottom of the hilt. Wisps of black Qi drifted across the blade.
He swung the blade, effortlessly slicing through a virtual test target with a mirror-smooth cut, demonstrating immense cutting power. "How about calling it Black Feather?"
"Not bad, very good. Alright, host, your transformation device is ready."
A dazzling light appeared at his wrist, forming a silver-blue bracelet adorned with a large letter "Z". "It looks a bit different from what I imagined," Saize said with a hint of disappointment. With a cheeky tone, the system said, "Why don't you try turning that big letter 'Z' on the bracelet?" Half-doubting, Saize gave it a spin. The moment he turned it, bolts of black-and-purple lightning erupted and coiled around Saize's body.
As the current surged, Saize's body slowly straightened up. At that moment, a huge, glowing letter "Z" appeared on his chest, spinning continuously. Finally, the "Z" transformed into an exquisite color timer embedded right in front of his chest.
Having completed his transformation, Saize radiated an unmatched, powerful aura. Following the system's instructions, he reached into the bracelet transformation device and gave a sharp tug, and a weapon gleaming with cold light appeared in his hand—it was none other than Black Feather. Furthermore, there were four mysterious circular holes on Black Feather whose purpose remained unknown.
As the two of them continued discussing and exploring, time flew by.
"Oh dear, I can't keep chatting with you, my dear system! My eyelids are starting to droop, and sleepiness is washing over me like a tide. I feel like if I don't sleep now, I won't be able to get up tomorrow. Besides, I have important classes waiting for me tomorrow. So right now, I urgently need to crawl into a warm and comfortable bed, close my eyes, and let myself drift off into sweet dreamland."
The system couldn't help letting out a helpless yet playfully teasing response, "You really are a piece of work."
It seemed utterly baffled and perplexed by the user's behavior, but said nothing more.
