With that, Jodio Joestar carried the heavy, unconscious body of Jean Pierre Polnareff all the way toward his sister's house.
Just as he was about to arrive, he happened to run into Jotaro Kujo, who was cutting class and heading home while carrying Noriaki Kakyoin to find Joseph Joestar for help!
Seeing Jodio Joestar also carrying a person on his back, Jotaro Kujo froze in sheer disbelief.
Recovering his wits, he pointed a finger at the man on Jodio Joestar's back and demanded:
"Hey, Uncle! Who the hell is that guy?"
"Did you run into someone sent to assassinate you, too?"
Hearing this, Jodio Joestar glanced back at him and replied calmly:
"Yeah, you guessed it. I ran into an assassin sent by Dio Brando."
"The guy on my back is named Jean Pierre Polnareff, a Frenchman."
"He was being controlled by Dio Brando to attack me, but unfortunately for him, he was no match for me and I knocked him out cold."
"Dio Brando implanted a flesh bud made of his own cells into this guy's forehead, and I have no way to remove it, so I had to come and ask your grandfather to think of something."
With that, Jodio Joestar continued carrying Polnareff toward Holy Kujo's house.
Standing behind him, Jotaro Kujo's face twitched at Jodio Joestar's words, and he cast a look of deep pity at the unconscious Polnareff slung over Jodio Joestar's shoulder!
Then he rested his chin on his fingers and pondered Jodio Joestar's words!
But unfortunately, Jotaro Kujo had zero information at the moment, and with no clue what to make of it, he had to temporarily abandon the thought.
He hoisted the unconscious Noriaki Kakyoin back onto his shoulder and continued walking toward home.
Arriving at his sister's house, Holy Kujo, who was busy sweeping the courtyard, spotted Jodio Joestar and greeted him with a smile:
"Hello there, little Jodio! Welcome!"
Hearing his sister's greeting, Jodio Joestar politely replied:
"Hey, thanks, Sis. Let me ask you, where is Dad right now?"
"On my way home from the street just now, I ran into an assassin sent by Dio Brando."
"Even though I knocked this guy out, Dio Brando planted a flesh bud made of cells right in his forehead."
"I don't know how to deal with this thing, so I have no choice but to ask Dad to think of a way."
Hearing what Jodio Joestar had to say, Holy Kujo paused, pointed toward the tea room, and said:
"You mean Dad? He's in the tea room drinking tea with Mr. Avdol right now!"
"If you want to see him, just go right on in."
Getting the answer he wanted, Jodio Joestar walked toward the house while waving a hand at his sister and saying softly:
"Thanks, Sis! I've got an urgent matter right now, let's chat later!"
Holy Kujo smiled and replied:
"If it's important, go on ahead!"
"Call me anytime if you need help with anything!"
Just as she picked up her broom to resume sweeping the courtyard, she turned her head and saw Jotaro Kujo walking in behind them.
Without a second thought, Holy Kujo dropped her broom and moved in to hug Jotaro Kujo.
Faced with this situation, Jotaro Kujo naturally found it a huge headache and blurted out:
"Wait! Hold it right there! This is no time for mother-son bonding."
"I've got the exact same problem as my uncle, and I need that old man of a grandfather to sort it out for me!"
"This is a matter of life and death, I don't have time for this."
Taking advantage of Holy Kujo's momentary daze, Jotaro Kujo rushed into the house at a full sprint with Noriaki Kakyoin on his back.
Meanwhile, taking advantage of that brief window, Jodio Joestar had already explained the situation to Mohammed Avdol and Joseph Joestar.
Polnareff, whom he had carried all the way, was laid out flat on the floor.
Mohammed Avdol and Joseph Joestar crouched down to examine the flesh bud on Polnareff's forehead!
A moment later, Jotaro Kujo jogged in, pushed the door open, and walked inside carrying the unconscious Noriaki Kakyoin.
Without saying a word to the two men who were inspecting the wounds, he simply laid Noriaki Kakyoin and Polnareff side by side on the floor!
Then he joined Jodio Joestar in waiting for the two of them to finish their examination.
After inspecting Polnareff and Noriaki Kakyoin one after the other, Mohammed Avdol and Joseph Joestar stood up from the floor.
Judging by their grim expressions, however, the verdict was far from good.
Only Jodio Joestar, who knew the plot inside and out, remained as steady as a rock; with Star Platinum around, he wasn't worried in the slightest about anything going wrong.
Mere flesh buds from Dio were nothing—Jotaro Kujo's Star Platinum could handle them with effortless ease.
After a brief discussion following their inspection, Joseph Joestar and Mohammed Avdol looked at Jodio Joestar and Jotaro Kujo with grave expressions and said:
"Sigh, the situation for these two is not looking good!"
"The severity of those tumor-like flesh buds is much worse than I imagined."
"These things aren't just superficial; the part beneath the skin is what makes them truly troublesome."
"The flesh buds under these two guys' foreheads are on the verge of reaching their brains. Judging by the current rate, they have less than two days left to live."
"If we want to save them, our only option is to ask the world's top surgeons to perform high-precision surgery!"
"Even then, I cannot guarantee a 100% chance of saving them."
"After all, humans are prone to mistakes, and with the current level of medical technology, even top-tier doctors might not succeed 100% of the time in such a difficult procedure."
With that, Joseph Joestar and Mohammed Avdol let out a simultaneous sigh of helplessness.
At this, Jodio Joestar put on a helpless sigh and said:
"Ah, looking for doctors is definitely out of the question now, it's way too late."
"It's a pity my Stand doesn't have high precision, otherwise I could just use The Winged Dragon of Ra's flames to burn away every single flesh bud inside their foreheads."
As he said this, Jodio Joestar cast a covert glance at Jotaro Kujo standing nearby.
Sure enough, upon hearing their words, Jotaro Kujo rested his chin on his fingers, thought for a moment, and slowly spoke up:
"Precision? Uncle, did you just say precision? I think I might have a way."
"My Stand—that evil spirit attached to me—possesses extremely high precision."
"If you let me try, maybe we can pull this off without needing to find a doctor at all!"
As soon as Jotaro Kujo said this, Mohammed Avdol instantly rejected the idea, speaking in a stern voice:
"No! Jotaro! This is a matter of life and death."
"How can you make such a decision so casually and recklessly!"
"If anything goes wrong, will you take responsibility for these two lives?"
Hearing Mohammed Avdol's words, Jotaro Kujo let out a mocking sneer and retorted coldly:
"If you won't let me try, what do you suggest we do?"
"If we don't save the two guys lying unconscious here right now, they've got two days at most to live."
"Grandpa just said that even if we went looking for the world's top doctors, success couldn't be guaranteed, and we've already run out of time anyway."
"Since they're dead either way, you might as well let me give it a shot."
"Of course, if you're going to insist so stubbornly on this 'matter of life and death' business, I can just wash my hands of it."
"After all, these two fellows were assassins sent by Dio Brando to attack me and my uncle!"
"Even if they die, I won't feel a shred of pity or remorse!"
With that, Jotaro Kujo stubbornly sat down right on the floor, picked up the cup of coffee Joseph Joestar had brewed earlier before he had a chance to drink it, and took a leisurely sip.
Faced with this standoff, the atmosphere in the room fell into a sudden, heavy silence.
Though Jotaro Kujo's words had sounded harsh, he hadn't been wrong in the slightest.
Under the circumstances, this was a desperate measure born of having no other choice.
Seeing that the situation was about to become agonizingly awkward, Jodio Joestar stepped in at once to smooth things over:
"Mr. Avdol, we might as well let Jotaro try."
"Just like he said, there are no better options left under the current circumstances!"
"The worst-case scenario is simply that these two kick the bucket a day early."
"Since doing nothing still spells absolute doom for them, we might as well take a desperate gamble and fight for a glimmer of hope for the two of them."
"Can you really just stand by and watch two lives perish right in front of us!"
"Besides, according to Dad's earlier explanation, what these two did wasn't of their own free will!"
As the saying goes, the words are rough, but the logic is sound. Persuaded by Jodio Joestar's reasoning, Mohammed Avdol finally nodded and accepted the method.
Having talked Mohammed Avdol around, Jodio Joestar turned his gaze toward Jotaro Kujo, who was busy sipping his coffee.
Faced with a life-or-death situation, Jotaro Kujo—who had only been putting on an act earlier—naturally wasn't going to put on airs at a time like this.
With that opening provided for him, he immediately set down his coffee cup, stood up, walked over to the heads of the two men, and swiftly summoned Star Platinum!
Jotaro Kujo and Star Platinum looked down at the two unconscious men before them. With a deep exhale, they held their breath, focused their minds, seized the exact moment, and with lightning speed, yanked out the flesh buds planted by Dio Brando from the two men's foreheads.
The extracted flesh buds attempted to attack Jotaro Kujo, but were instantly incinerated by two laser beams shot by Jodio Joestar, who had summoned The Winged Dragon of Ra from afar.
This made Joseph Joestar, who had intended to use Hamon, abandon the thought.
Having pulled out the flesh buds, Jotaro Kujo walked back to his original spot, sat down, and resumed drinking his coffee.
Once the flesh buds were removed, Joseph Joestar and Mohammed Avdol immediately rushed to check the condition of the unconscious pair.
Their examination revealed that Noriaki Kakyoin and Polnareff had basically returned to normal.
Just as Joseph Joestar and Mohammed Avdol had anticipated, once the flesh buds in their foreheads were extracted, Polnareff and Noriaki Kakyoin quickly regained consciousness.
Awakening free from control, the two immediately expressed their apologies for their previous actions.
The magnanimous Jodio Joestar and the somewhat reluctant Jotaro Kujo ultimately forgave them both.
At that moment, Holy Kujo, having finished cleaning the courtyard, came over to check on things. Discovering that the crisis had been resolved and seeing so many guests present, she immediately went off to prepare tea and pastries.
No one in the room had any objections; after going through such a harrowing ordeal, they genuinely needed a good talk.
In particular, Joseph Joestar and Jotaro Kujo intended to extract some intelligence regarding Dio Brando from the two men!
At this moment, only Jodio Joestar knew that, barring any accidents, they wouldn't get to drink Holy Kujo's tea after all.
