Although they boarded the plane without any mishaps, Jodio Joestar inside the cabin did not let his guard down completely.
On the one hand, he was worried that Joseph Joestar's infamous vehicle-destroying jinx might activate at any moment!
The others probably didn't realize the terrifying nature of this curse and didn't take it to heart. But Jodio Joestar knew from the original story that even Dio Brando, who had drunk Joseph Joestar's blood, eventually fell victim to this vehicle-destroying curse.
On the other hand, he knew the plot and was aware that there might be a Stand User assassin sent by Dio Brando on this very plane!
Therefore, Jodio Joestar looked around everywhere, hoping to spot that receding-hairline old man from the original story and eliminate him in advance. After all, if he could reach Egypt by plane, he wanted to avoid the troublesome hassle of traveling by sea.
More importantly, they were currently up in the air; if anything went wrong with how the plot unfolded next, there would be nowhere to run. He certainly didn't want to die so young.
Yet, no matter how long Jodio Joestar searched, he still couldn't find the old man.
Noticing how cautious Jodio Joestar was being, Jotaro Kujo and Jean Pierre Polnareff, who were sitting next to him, directly spoke up to comfort him:
"You don't need to be so cautious, Uncle."
"What vehicle destroyer? You don't need to believe such nonsense."
"If there really were some kind of vehicle destroyer, how did he fly from New York to Tokyo yesterday!"
"Don't worry too much, just put your mind at ease!"
As soon as Jotaro Kujo finished speaking, Jean Pierre Polnareff, sitting nearby, leaned over and said with a smile:
"I never expected that someone who looks as heroic as you would actually believe such a trick!"
"I, Jean Pierre Polnareff, have never seen any vehicle destroyer in all my life!"
"Suddenly, I feel a teensy-weensy bit embarrassed that I lost to you yesterday!"
With that, Polnareff clutched his stomach and, alongside Jotaro Kujo on the other side, burst into wild laughter at Jodio Joestar!
Up ahead, Joseph Joestar listened to the three juniors discussing his embarrassing mishaps, and he instantly lost face.
To warn the three youngsters in the back to stop while they were ahead, Joseph Joestar deliberately gave a few coughs.
Yet the two people in the back laughing wildly didn't hear his warning at all and continued to laugh uproariously.
This situation instantly made Joseph Joestar furious!
He turned his head straight around and said with a murderous look:
"You think this is very funny, do you?"
"Give it some limits, you guys!"
"Do you know what it means to respect your elders?"
"A bunch of damned bratty bastards!"
Faced with the murderous party involved, the two individuals serving as Jodio Joestar's left and right bodyguards didn't have skins quite as thick as they would later in life, so they immediately stopped laughing, put on serious expressions, and behaved themselves!
The performance of these two mischievous brats left Joseph Joestar quite satisfied!
After glaring fiercely at the culprit, Jodio Joestar, his expression returned to calm, and he turned his head back to the front.
With the playful interlude over, after a little while longer, the plane finally took off.
After takeoff, far from letting his guard down, Jodio Joestar became even more vigilant!
He kept worrying that the Stand User whose Stand was named Tower of Gray from the original story would launch a sudden attack.
Yet, after waiting for a long time, that Stand User still did not appear.
Gradually, after Jodio Joestar had waited for almost an entire day, his strained nerves finally could not take it anymore, and he unknowingly drifted off into a deep sleep.
Soon, nighttime arrived, and almost everyone in the airplane cabin began to sleep, entering a state of slumber.
Just when everything seemed completely calm and peaceful, that receding-hairline white-haired old man whom Jodio Joestar had been trying to find all along—sitting in the corner, hiding while wearing a baseball cap and a face mask—finally began to make his move.
Having slept the entire way through the day and being fully rested while still pretending to be asleep, he quietly opened his eyes when no one was paying attention.
After turning his head to look around and finding that the people nearby were indeed all asleep, a perverted smile appeared on the old man's face.
Then, as soon as that perverted smile faded, he immediately returned to normal.
Next, he pretended to be asleep again, lying peacefully back in his chair just like the other sleeping passengers.
Following that, a burst of radiance erupted from his body, and a stag beetle Stand the size of an ordinary beetle was released by him.
Once released, this bug first carefully circled the surroundings.
The next moment, it rapidly beat its wings, turning into a blur as it lunged swiftly toward the sleeping passengers!
Moving at bullet-like speeds under high-speed flight, Tower of Gray transformed into a cruel butcher, flying in through the back of each sleeping passenger's head, ruthlessly slicing off every passenger's tongue, and then flying out through their mouths.
And so, the passengers in their dreams were killed on the plane by Tower of Gray just like that, completely oblivious.
The mouthparts at the tip of Tower of Gray's tongue still had a bunch of leftover trophies hanging from them.
Looking at these dispatched passengers, it casually discarded the trophies, then flew over to the wall and wrote terrifying slogans stained with blood.
Finally, after finishing this task, it looked back at the dead passengers throughout the cabin, and—despite being a mere bug—it let out a sneaky, wretched smile just like a human being.
Having finished off economy class, Tower of Gray continued flying toward the first-class cabin where Jotaro Kujo and the others were located.
Upon flying into the first class cabin, Tower of Gray's methods were exactly the same as before.
One by one, it used its previous killing method to slaughter almost everyone in first class.
In the end, only Jotaro Kujo and the six of them remained alive among the first-class passengers.
Originally, Tower of Gray intended to make a clean sweep of it, directly eliminating the main character group before going after the people in the cockpit.
However, the old man feigning sleep in economy class changed his mind immediately upon seeing his targets through Tower of Gray's perspective.
This old man temporarily spared the main character group, having Tower of Gray head to the cockpit in advance.
His plan was very simple: he intended to wipe out everyone else first, and save the Stand Users of the main character group for last.
In this old man's view, killing Stand Users had to be much more interesting than killing ordinary people!
And thus, before anyone realized it, things still returned to the starting point.
All the ordinary people on the entire plane were completely wiped out by this evil old man, just like in the original story!
Having cleared away all the bothersome people, Tower of Gray flew back from the cockpit, intending to eliminate the main character group in accordance with Dio Brando's orders.
At the same time, the old man hiding in the corner of economy class had already strapped on a parachute he had prepared in advance and was standing before the cabin door!
Tower of Gray floated mid-air, gazing at the six slumbering members of the main character group, and its mouthparts gleaming with a cold light instantly shot forward.
Yet, unexpectedly, at this very moment, a dazzling golden light suddenly erupted from Jodio Joestar's body, and the radiance of The Winged Dragon of Ra formed a wall of light in the blink of an eye right in front of everyone, blocking the attack from Tower of Gray.
Witnessing this sudden turn of events, Tower of Gray spoke up with a trace of disbelief:
"How is this possible? Obviously I checked just now, and the few of you were sleeping like dead pigs."
"How could you possibly dodge my assassination now?"
At this moment, Jodio Joestar, who had been sleeping, abruptly opened his eyes and said with a sneer at the corner of his mouth:
"This bug flaps its wings so loudly, you were about to wake me to death with the noise!"
"If I hadn't woken up, wouldn't I really have become a dead pig?"
"Trap it for me, The Winged Dragon of Ra!"
With that, Jodio Joestar stretched out his hand and gave the command, and a fierce radiance instantly burst forth from The Winged Dragon of Ra!
Sensing that things were going badly, Tower of Gray tried to flee, but unfortunately, the speed of light was even faster.
Before Tower of Gray could escape, the wall of light that had just blocked it instantly formed a small six-sided cage of light, trapping Tower of Gray securely and tightly.
The Tower of Gray, which had previously been so arrogant and overbearing, instantly turned into a turtle in a jar.
After Jodio Joestar trapped Tower of Gray, the creature—still inside the cage of light—tried to put up a last-ditch struggle, attempting to smash through the light barrier and escape the light cage.
Unfortunately, Jodio Joestar was not about to give it that chance and immediately commanded The Winged Dragon of Ra to fire another laser beam, cutting Tower of Gray directly in half.
And as Tower of Gray was cut in half, the receding-hairline old man who was its user was also sliced into two sections, collapsing onto the ground and letting out a blood-curdling scream.
This harrowing wail, sounding just like ghosts crying and wolves howling, instantly startled the five people who were still asleep into wakefulness.
Scared out of their wits, the few of them stared blankly at the scene before them; having just woken up, they had no idea what on earth had happened!
