Chapter 7

Once everyone had regained consciousness, Jodio Joestar briefed them on the current situation. Then, just as in the original story, Joseph Joestar headed to the cockpit to fly the plane. The rest of them, unable to help in the flight deck, gathered together to discuss what to do with the old man who had been cut in half but was still somehow alive!
However, faced with an enemy who was already as good as dead—it was only a matter of time—Kakyoin and Mohammed Avdol felt there was no need to stain their hands. On the other hand, Jotaro Kujo and Jean Pierre Polnareff felt that since they had almost been killed point-blank in their sleep, letting him off like this didn't sit well with them. Yet after a round of discussion, neither side could convince the other.
In the end, Jotaro Kujo left the final decision to Jodio Joestar, letting him decide what should be done: "Uncle, what do you think we should do?" "How should we handle this old bastard?"
Faced with this tricky problem, Jodio Joestar found himself in a tough spot. So, to avoid offending either side, Jodio Joestar grabbed some paper and a pen from a dead passenger, wrote down a dozen paper slips, and had everyone draw lots: "All right, stop arguing. Let's just draw lots!" "There are eighteen paper slips here. Half of them say 'intervene,' and the other half say 'do not intervene.' Let's mix them up, and everyone draw one." "We'll go with the majority." "If the result is to do nothing, we'll just let the old man rot." "But if it's the other outcome, you can do whatever you want with him!"
Hearing this method, the group exchanged glances and nodded simultaneously. Then Jodio Joestar placed all the paper slips on the floor. After the five of them took turns mixing them up, each person drew one at random. When they gathered the slips together and opened them at the same time, they discovered that everyone had drawn "intervene."
Faced with this twist of fate, the five of them took turns playing rock-paper-scissors, and Mohammed Avdol ultimately won the right to dispose of him. Watching the old man groaning in agony on the floor amid a gruesome, terrifying scene as his breathing grew weaker, Mohammed Avdol tore the parachute right off his back! Then he opened the cabin door and kicked the old man's severed halves out. With a clean, swift motion, he closed the door, returned to his seat, and closed his eyes to rest.
The rest of them didn't know what to say about this method of disposal. After exchanging glances, they all sat back down in their seats and began to rest. Finally, through the all-out efforts and hard work of Joseph Joestar in the cockpit, the plane landed safely at an airport in a certain Eastern country.
After a brief rest, the group gathered to discuss their upcoming itinerary! Notably, because of this plane crash, the other four—who had previously scoffed at the curse of the vehicle killer—were now half-believing it. To prevent another accident like the last one, everyone except Joseph Joestar unanimously voted down the plan to fly to Egypt. Traumatized, none of them wanted an untimely death! Compared to a flight where a single mistake left no bones behind, both land and sea travel at least offered a chance of escape. Despite Joseph Joestar's repeated assertions that he had no such vehicle killer curse, no matter what he said, the group used a majority vote to choose to take a ship from Taiwan to India, then from India to Pakistan, and finally reach Egypt.
Once the decision was made, the group drove to a hotel. It was already evening, so they planned to rest for the night and start moving the next day. Upon reaching the hotel, the exhausted group headed to their respective rooms and fell fast asleep. The rest of the night passed uneventfully, and everyone finally got a proper rest.
Soon enough, before anyone noticed, the night slipped away, and it was suddenly noon the next day! Having rested well through the night, the group's energy and spirits were finally restored to normal. Waking up, Joseph Joestar called the SPW Foundation over lunch, asking them to send a ship to pick everyone up and take them to India!
You have to hand it to the SPW Foundation—their efficiency was top-notch. Just an hour or so after lunch, the ship Joseph Joestar had arranged arrived. Eager to finish their mission as soon as possible, the group boarded the ship with Joseph Joestar!
The massive ship cut swiftly through the sea. Just when everyone thought there would be no trouble this time, little did they know that beneath the calm surface, undercurrents were churning, and a deadly trap was already closing in!
