The Reed Craft Factory was designed with rigorous precision. Its architectural layout was so orderly it looked as if it had been measured out with a ruler. Upon entering the main gate, one found a semi-open plaza covering over ten acres, divided into two sections by a wide thoroughfare. To the left was an open-air drying yard, while the central path was further segmented into zones for motor vehicles and pedestrians. To the right stood the finished-product showroom and the craft exchange and teaching area, specially established for study tour groups and visitors.
This area was quite expansive. The side facing the driveway featured massive, floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Inside, there was a display area, a reception room, and twelve large experience halls, easily accommodating large groups of participants.
Following the main path through the plaza led to a detached, multi-functional industrial building. It housed departments for raw material processing, weaving, shaping, dyeing, quality inspection and repair, and packaging. Furthermore, the warehouses for raw materials and finished goods were built separately alongside the main factory, connected by a sealed passage.
