However, no matter how they investigated, they could ultimately only discover that prior to this, Uchiha Brahman had been nothing more than an ordinary member of the Uchiha clan, someone who could barely even refine chakra—an ordinary person indistinguishable from any commoner in Konoha.
The only thing they were able to ascertain was that Uchiha Brahman had awakened the legendary eyes, the exact same eyes possessed by Uchiha Madara. This appeared to be the ultimate power of the Uchiha clan.
The Mangekyou Sharingan.
Who would have thought that these legendary eyes would be so formidable, capable of defeating Sarutobi Hiruzen and catapulting an ordinary person straight to the position of Hokage of Konoha.
Still, this method of securing the shadow of a village through sheer violence was bound to be short-lived. The Kage of the four great villages believed that it would not be long before Uchiha Brahman fell from the Hokage's seat for one reason or another.
...
Deep underground in a laboratory in the Land of Waves, transformation was underway. The criminal who had been injected with the serum lay on the ground as the drug began to take effect. His body started to change; a more powerful, more ferocious chakra reaction erupted from him, and the flesh on his surface slowly began to writhe and alter.
Beside the cage, a group of Shadow Clones of Uchiha Brahman watched this scene in silence while continuously recording the criminal's physical data.
The transformation quickly reached its peak, and finally, the criminal lay motionless on the ground, appearing dead.
A short while later, the criminal climbed back to his feet, knelt on the floor, and kowtowed repeatedly.
"This lowly pariah greets all the great Brahmans!"
The criminal knelt and prayed with absolute devotion.
Seeing this, the Shadow Clones present all grinned and burst into laughter. Then, they released the outcast from the cage and began to examine him.
At last, the inspection complete, they pieced back together the outcast who had been dissected into countless organs and fragments.
"It's a success!"
One of the Shadow Clones picked up a cloth to wipe the blood from his hands, looking at the other Shadow Clones with a delighted expression.
"Yes, it's a success! Hahahahaha!!!"
The other Shadow Clones immediately laughed with joy. Their examination confirmed that there were no abnormalities in the outcast's genes, nor any issues with his bodily organs; he would not drop dead suddenly.
Next, they began mass-producing the gene-modification serum and injecting it in large quantities into the criminals serving as lab rats in the cells.
A single experiment could not prove that this genetic serum was safe and harmless. What if that particular outcast possessed a uniquely resilient constitution? As large amounts of the genetic serum were injected, the great blessing began to course through these individuals, reshaping their genes.
After some time, they found that this was indeed the case. While the vast majority of people suffered no adverse effects after receiving the injection, a small fraction of the unfortunate ones experienced genetic collapse, bodily disintegration, and death.
"Very well, our experiment is a success! It is time to bring advanced systems to this world!"
The Brahmans looked at each other and grinned.
...
After Uchiha Brahman became Hokage, Konoha as a whole did not undergo any drastic changes.
The Uchiha clan.
"Brahman..." Uchiha Fugaku looked at Uchiha Brahman, wanting to say something.
"Silence, Fugaku! You should address me as Lord Hokage!"
Uchiha Brahman looked coldly at Uchiha Fugaku, the so-called head of the Uchiha clan, before walking over to the main seat and sitting down with an indifferent expression.
"Are you truly... Uchiha Brahman?"
An old man looked at Uchiha Brahman, asking with a hint of uncertainty. The other Uchiha present gazed at him with equally incredulous expressions; even now, they felt as though they were living in a dream, trapped within a Genjutsu.
After all, they had been plotting a coup, hoping to elevate the Uchiha clan's political voice within the village. Yet, before their coup could even begin, an ordinary member of the Uchiha clan—someone they didn't even know existed—had suddenly revealed a pair of legendary eyes, secured the backing of the Daimyo and Shimura Danzō (who had always looked down upon the Uchiha), and leaped from an obscure fishmonger boy to become the Hokage of the village.
How could the contrast not make them feel like they were dreaming? A coup they had planned for so long had just completed itself—and it had been pulled off by a fishmonger boy! This was the very power capable of defeating the Third Hokage!
"Of course I am Uchiha Brahman, genuine in every way! Furthermore, from now on, you will address me as Lord Brahman! Or Lord Hokage!"
Uchiha Brahman leaned back in his chair, looking at the assembled Uchiha with supreme arrogance.
Seeing that arrogant gaze, the Uchiha present were finally certain: Uchiha Brahman was indeed a traditional Uchiha!
"Yes, Lord Hokage!"
Standing in the corner, Uchiha Shisui immediately dropped to his knees with excitement, gazing with utmost reverence at Uchiha Brahman. Then, Uchiha Shisui rose to his feet and glared at the clansmen around him.
"What are you wretches doing?! Why aren't you saluting the great Lord Brahman at once, you pariahs!"
Hearing Uchiha Shisui's words, several Uchiha looked at him in disbelief. If they remembered correctly, shouldn't Uchiha Shisui have been a devoted loyalist of the Third Hokage and Danzō?
"Greetings, Lord Hokage!"
Whatever—even if they didn't understand what was going on, Uchiha Brahman had indeed fulfilled their clan's long-cherished wish. At long last, someone from the Uchiha clan had become Hokage, and had even acquired that pair of legendary eyes.
Who cared what his background was!
"Hmph!"
Seeing the respectful demeanor of everyone present, Uchiha Brahman nodded with satisfaction. Then, his gaze shifted to Uchiha Fugaku standing nearby, and his expression instantly darkened.
"Fugaku, your time as clan head is over. You are far too useless! Can you tell me why Uchiha Itachi went to rescue the rogue ninja Sarutobi Hiruzen? Was that your doing?"
Uchiha Brahman looked coldly at Uchiha Fugaku, speaking with icy indifference. Though he had merely been a fishmonger boy before, he now possessed the oppressive aura of a born superior—which made sense, after all, since the reason Uchiha Brahman had transmigrated was certainly not because he had been doing good deeds.
"Brahman, that boy Itachi has been clever since he was a child. I believe he must have had his reasons!"
Uchiha Fugaku frowned as he looked at Uchiha Brahman, feeling that this junior was getting a bit too arrogant to dare speak to him, the clan head, in such a manner.
"Silence, you pariah! How dare you address the great Lord Brahman by his given name, and how dare you make excuses for that beast Itachi! This is sheer treason and rebellion! Do you have any idea that the only reason you are even standing here right now is because of the grace of the great Lord Brahman?"
Before Uchiha Brahman could speak, Uchiha Shisui could no longer hold his tongue.
