Following Camearra and the other two, they quickly arrived at the stronghold. Finding a concealed spot to stop, he began to think; a one-to-many battle was not something you could just charge into recklessly.
Carefully assessing the distribution of the Monsters, he plotted his approach. Once the fight started, nearby Monsters would be alerted, so he also had to avoid being targeted by a concentrated attack from all sides. Having suppressed his power now, if he really took the full brunt of a coordinated assault, he would still end up getting injured.
Having mapped out his combat strategy, he drew his Light Saber. "I'll handle this alone this time," he said. "Just watch."
Dark energy coursed through the blade. He used Teleportation to instantly appear right beside an unsuspecting Monster, thrusting his sword straight through its skull. Utilizing High-Speed Movement, he flashed beside another, swinging a horizontal slash that lopped off its head. Channeling even more dark energy into the Light Saber, he unleashed a ten-meter-long blade wave toward a Monster behind him, striking it dead on and tearing it to pieces.
Three consecutive explosions rang out, immediately alarming the densely packed Monsters. They began to counterattack, and one of those standing close by fired a powerful beam directly at him.
The number one rule of combat: whenever an attack can be dodged, never take it head-on. He used Teleportation to slip to the outer perimeter, then activated High-Speed Movement. In a flash, every nearby Monster was clipped by his blade—some killed instantly, some disabled, and others heavily wounded.
He used Teleportation to retreat. In a group battle, securing kills was not the top priority; making the enemy lose their combat capability and ensuring he wasn't swarmed by focused fire was what mattered most.
Adopting a guerrilla tactic, he constantly shifted his position and repeatedly unleashed blade waves. Before long, half the Monsters were dead, and several others were severely injured.
Once the Monsters on the battlefield no longer posed a lethal threat, finishing off the survivors became the primary objective, ensuring that no heavily wounded Monster could launch a sneak attack or cause trouble during the fight.
Only then did the exhibition of sword skills truly begin. Amidst his High-Speed Movement, Monsters were repeatedly decapitated—some cleanly severed by the Light Saber, others sliced off by blade pressure, and the rest pierced straight through the skull.
This time, it was a magnificent demonstration of Sword Skill. Aside from the occasional one torn to pieces, the vast majority were either beheaded or died with their skulls pierced through.
The battle had started abruptly and ended swiftly. With an overwhelming disparity in strength and a low difficulty coefficient—and by avoiding concentrated enemy fire—it was essentially a solo performance.
As the final Monster collapsed, he put away his Long Sword. Though it had been a crushing victory, the energy consumption was by no means small, given the sheer number of foes.
In truth, he had a better battle strategy. If not for the desire to show off his sword skills, he could have directly used Lucifer's Mad Spark—a wide-area damage ability—to launch a surprise attack, ending things much faster and with even less exertion.
Looking at the three people walking up to him, he asked, "Well, how was that? Not bad, right?"
Camearra said with envy, "Using only sword skills combined with energy slashes to pull off something this incredible—you're strong. Even five of me might not be able to beat you."
Hearing her praise didn't cause his ego to swell. "Years of practice aren't wasted. The amount of hardship I endured learning the sword back then is the exact measure of my confidence now. Against high-level Monsters, it's a total steamroll; there's no difficulty at all."
Darram looked at him with sheer adoration. "Boss, you're amazing! If I had your strength, wouldn't that be great?"
He didn't discourage them. "Find your own fighting style, pick up a few extra techniques, and temper yourself through prolonged training or frequent battles. All of that will enhance your strength."
"I'm planning to go take a trip into human society. Are you guys coming?"
Camearra pondered for a long time. "We're not going. Polishing our own strength is the priority. I've decided to take the other two and keep fighting, to temper ourselves and grow stronger."
"When you've had enough fun, come back and find us. You're always welcome back—and if you ever decide to join us permanently, that would be even better."
Darram spoke up, "Big Brother, your little brother will keep an eye on Big Sis for you. No one's taking her away from you."
Listening to what they said, they were genuinely good friends. *If one day she can let go of everything here and wander the entire universe with me, perhaps then we might truly come together. But right now, she can't, and so she doesn't belong to me.*
"Friends, I'm heading out. May fate bring us together again. Bye!" Without looking back, he strode away.
Hitlet asked, "Big Sis, why didn't you make him stay? These past few days of contact, though brief, make me feel like he's a pretty good guy. His origins are unknown, but that has nothing to do with us. I can tell he still holds a torch for you. If you had just spoken up, it probably wouldn't have been hard."
Darram chimed in with a reminder, "He didn't even want the mission reward—he left it all for you. Doesn't that prove something? Those crystals are enough to serve as a bridal price, yet he left without even asking about them."
"Big Sis, to be honest, don't get mad. There are plenty of women in the tribe prettier than you. Is strength even important in his eyes? After witnessing him in action these past few times, I'm sure he's caught the attention of certain people. If you've really taken a fancy to this powerhouse, you'd better make your move early. Wait too long, and someone else will snap him up."
Camearra's mood was unsettled. "I'll give it serious thought. Come on, let's head out on our mission. If we meet again next time and he's still interested, I'll seize the opportunity. If not, then it was just a momentary impulse."
Darram countered, "When a man looks at a woman, it's always driven by attraction in the first place. If there isn't even a momentary impulse, what chance is there to talk? Without that kind of impulse, even if you throw yourself at him, success isn't guaranteed."
Darram had wanted to say more, but seeing Camearra's unfriendly expression, he swallowed his words.
Having left the Dark Giants' gathering grounds and drawing close to the human settlement, he ended his Giant transformation and reverted to his human form. He marched straight toward the human city.
The moment he stepped through the city gates, he was discovered because he lacked identification documents. The people here possessed a very high level of technology; the city walls were equipped with numerous weapons to fend off Monster invasions.
Upon entering, the security scanners failed to detect any identity information, and he was flagged immediately. Escorted by guards to their office, the person who came forward to question him was a very beautiful woman.
The beautiful woman introduced herself, "My name is Youlian, and I am the commander of the human defense organization. Please state your identity, origins, and intentions. We detected massive energy fluctuations coming from you—you are very dangerous."
The feeling was strangely familiar. Back in his past life when a fight landed him at the police station, hadn't those officers acted just like this? "My name is Cesia, a Dark Giant. In human form, my name is Yang Lifeng. I came here purely for sightseeing. There's nothing you have that I could possibly plot against, and you pose no threat to me either."
Youlian said quite politely, "Thank you for helping humans fend off the Monsters. I'll go verify this with the Dark Giant chieftain. Please wait a moment, and thank you for your understanding."
He nodded, unconcerned. Sensing carefully, he discovered that the total number of Giants living in the human domain did not even exceed ten. It seemed that even with an agreement in place, Giants still preferred not to mingle much with humans.
Just then, five Golzas and two Melbas arrived outside the city. They began charging the human city as heavy artillery opened fire to hold back the assault.
Among them, the two strongest were infinitely close to Elite tier. As long as they survived, given a few more days, they would undoubtedly step into the Elite tier.
The moment the battle began, the Giants inside the city transformed—three Giants of Light and three Dark Giants. They paired off and fought fiercely outside the walls, locked in an intense, evenly matched struggle.
Watching their battle, he realized he had really underestimated himself and overestimated the Monsters.
Fighting in groups of three, they were having a grand old time trading blows. If he had been born here himself, he probably wouldn't have been much stronger than them. It seemed he didn't really have the right to laugh at others either; not everyone had his kind of luck, having a Great God teach them hand-to-hand.
