Compared to Lucifer, I looked pretty pathetic. But there was no real comparison to be made; the man was a Great God from ancient times, so having that kind of strength was only natural, wasn't it? There was nothing shameful about it.
I checked my surroundings. I was in the middle of empty space, completely alone and quite safe. I quickly figured out my coordinates; I was still some distance away from the target area and would have to fly there. I couldn't open a spatial gate. Once you were in someone else's territory, opening spatial gates at will was no different from lighting a beacon in the night. You shouldn't treat someone else's defenses like mere decorations, or you'd easily get burned.
Since I had already made it this way, I might as well go in, take a look around, and wander a bit so the trip wouldn't be a total waste. I could stroll through their Royal City and check out any collectibles worth taking while I was at it. Since I was here to cause trouble anyway, I could just snatch whatever caught my eye along the way.
