Bharat is a country with a massive population, and matching that enormous populace is a vast array of diverse religions. Given the nation's huge population and rich resources, logically speaking, a country like this ought to stand tall as a major world power. In reality, however, it seems like a complete joke. The masses suffer from extreme apathy, the feudal landlord class stubbornly persists, and the government remains corrupt and lazy. There is a constant outflow of migrant labor. Within the country's more than twenty states, there are over twenty different legal systems. Ethnic conflicts abound, and discrimination against women is extreme. What better breeding ground could there be for an Evil God?
