After beating back the bats, the group pressed on through the mysterious realm. A thick fog hung all around them, flowing and churning like a living thing as it shrouded everything in a hazy veil. Ancient trees twisted their branches into claw-like shapes, resembling screeching monsters that seemed ready to pounce on the uninvited guests at any moment. The ground was blanketed in thick fallen leaves that crunched with every step, sounding like a grumbled warning from the land itself. "Why is this place so creepy? It's giving me the creeps," Shorty whimpered, huddling tightly behind the others. Small in stature, he had curled into a ball, his voice trembling like a leaf in the wind. His face was as pale as paper, his eyes darting frantically from side to side while his knuckles turned white from gripping his Dharmic Instrument too tightly. Lifeng let out a snort. "What's there to be scared of with me around!" His voice boomed like a giant bell, making the surrounding mist tremble. Carrying a massive battle-axe that seemed effortless in his grasp, thick muscles bulged on his arms like solid rocks. Tall and formidable, he resembled an unshakable mountain, radiating a powerful sense of security.
