The surrounding mist grew thicker, rolling and pressing in like a surging tide as if it were determined to swallow them whole. The mist was icy and damp, clinging to their skin and sending a chill straight down to their bones. "What on earth is this monster? Its roar alone is so terrifying!" Shorty's voice trembled. His small frame curled up into a ball as though he wanted to hide away. His legs wouldn't stop shaking, and his teeth chattered uncontrollably. Lifeng glared at him, his gaze filled with disdain and utter firmness. "What's there to be afraid of? I'm here!" He gripped his giant axe tightly, the weapon feeling like a natural extension of his own strength. Standing tall and formidable with muscles as hard as boulders, he looked like an unshakeable mountain peak.
