Zhang Yue and Lin Wan'er pushed open the heavy doors of the ruins, and a wave of stale, decaying air rushed toward them like a tide. Inside was a spacious hall, its walls embedded with gems that emitted a faint, intermittent glow like fireflies in the dead of night, barely illuminating the dim space. The floor of the hall was paved with massive bluestone slabs, each engraved with ancient and mysterious patterns that seemed to recount past glories and vicissitudes. "This place looks so creepy, Brother Yue. I'm a little scared." Lin Wan'er clutched the corner of Zhang Yue's robe, her voice trembling slightly like a withered leaf fluttering in the wind. Dressed in a pink long dress embroidered with exquisite floral patterns, her face looked somewhat pale in this eerie environment, resembling a delicate flower robbed of sunshine. Her large eyes were filled with tension and unease, her pupils slightly dilated with fear. Zhang Yue patted her hand to comfort her. "Don't be afraid, Wan'er. I'm here." His voice was deep and steady, carrying a reassuring strength. Tall and upright like a pine tree, Zhang Yue wore a long black robe that appeared even darker in the dim light, as if it could absorb the surrounding shadows. His sword brows were knit together, and his gaze swept sharply across the surroundings like a vigilant leopard, ready to face any sudden danger.
