Chapter 206

1,292 words6 minutes read

The fierce battle between Zhang Yue and the monster grew increasingly intense, leaving the entire battlefield shrouded in dust and chaos. The battlefield at this moment was a desolate valley. Towering peaks scraped the sky in the distance, their steep, craggy cliffs occasionally pierced by stubborn plants. These plants swayed gently in the mountain breeze, as if silently praying for this life-or-death struggle. The valley floor was strewn with jagged rocks and rugged pits of all sizes. Some stones were as sharp as knives, while others were round like spheres, casting shadows of varying lengths under the harsh sunlight. A cool breeze occasionally swept through the valley, kicking up dust that blurred vision. The wind also carried a hint of a bloody stench, sending a chill through anyone who breathed it. The monster possessed a massive body, resembling a moving hill that caused the earth to tremble with every step. Its hard carapace gleamed with a cold light in the sun, functioning like an impenetrable suit of armor. The shell was covered in bizarre patterns, much like ancient incantations, radiating a mysterious and dangerous aura. Its eyes betrayed boundless cruelty, burning like a raging fire and glowing a terrifying red. From time to time, it spat black smoke from its maw—smoke carrying a pungent stench and intense corrosiveness that made one shudder. Its fangs were as sharp as swords, each one gleaming with a cold light capable of tearing anything apart with ease.
