The wind died down quietly, and even the leaves stopped rustling, creating an oppressive atmosphere that made it hard to breathe. Everything around them seemed frozen, and time itself appeared to stand still. Zhang Zhi gripped his sword tightly, his palms slick with sweat, his gaze locked onto the Black-robed Man as he wondered inwardly, "What on earth are these guys up to? Could they have an even more formidable trick up their sleeves?" His brow furrowed tightly, his eyes filled with vigilance and doubt, yet mixed with firm determination; no matter what danger he faced, he would protect the companions beside him. Lin Wan'er hid behind Zhang Zhi, her hands clutching the corner of his robe tightly. Her frail body trembled incessantly, and she spoke with lingering fear, "Zhang Zhi, I have a terrible feeling. They must be plotting something terrifying." Her voice was laced with tears, her eyes full of terror; her usual gentleness and kindness were entirely consumed by fear at that moment.
