Zhang Zhi and Lin Wan'er were in the cave, startled by the sudden vibration of the Mo so that their hearts seemed to skip a beat. The searching voice of the mysterious person could still be faintly heard from outside the cave, like a series of death-summoning incantations that kept their nerves tense and without a moment of relaxation.
Lin Wan'er gripped Zhang Zhi's arm tightly, her voice trembling so much it was barely coherent: "Zhang Zhi, what on earth is happening to this Mo? I... I'm so scared." Her face was pale, her eyes filled with terror and helplessness, and her delicate body trembled uncontrollably like a fallen leaf swaying in a violent gale.
Zhang Zhi took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down, and comforted her: "Don't be afraid, Wan'er. I will figure out what is going on, and I will definitely keep you safe." His gaze was fixed on the vibrating Mo in his hand, his brows tightly furrowed, yet his eyes revealed determination and boldness. With his upright posture, he stood like a reef amidst the raging winds and giant waves, bringing a trace of reassurance to Lin Wan'er.
The two exchanged a glance, their meeting eyes filled with fear of the unknown, yet also containing the shared determination to face it together. They decided to explore further in the direction of the light. They walked cautiously deep into the cave, stepping extremely carefully as if a bottomless abyss lay beneath their feet.
Water droplets constantly fell from the surrounding stone walls, the "drip-drop, drip-drop" sound exceptionally clear in the silent cave, like the footsteps of passing time. The ground beneath their feet was also somewhat slippery from the moisture, and a single careless step could cause a fall.
"Be careful, Wan'er," Zhang Zhi reminded her softly, keeping one arm guarding in front of Lin Wan'er while his vigilant gaze swept across the surrounding darkness.
Lin Wan'er bit her lip and nodded vigorously, her voice carrying a slight tremor: "Mmm, you should be careful walking in front too."
As they penetrated deeper, the light grew brighter and brighter, and finally they arrived inside a spacious cavern. The light was emanating from a huge crystal on the cave wall. That crystal was dazzlingly brilliant, resembling a star fallen into the mortal world, or perhaps a mysterious treasure emitting endless temptation.
"What is this?" Lin Wan'er looked at the crystal in astonishment, her eyes wide open, shocked by the wondrous sight before her. The light illuminated her face, lending a somewhat dreamy color to her features, which had previously been pale from fear.
Zhang Zhi approached the crystal, his eyes fixed on the strange patterns and characters seemingly engraved upon it. Those patterns and characters were like ancient codes waiting to be deciphered. Just as he was observing closely, the Mo in his hand once again vibrated violently, broke free from his grip, and flew toward the crystal like a shooting star, embedding itself accurately into one of the grooves.
In an instant, the crystal burst with dazzling brilliance, its intense light illuminating the entire cave as bright as day. Zhang Zhi and Lin Wan'er involuntarily closed their eyes; the light was far too dazzling, causing a sharp stinging sensation in their eyes.
When they opened their eyes again, they saw an illusory figure appearing before the crystal. The figure was indistinct and shimmering, as if it could dissolve into the air at any moment, yet it radiated a mysterious and powerful aura.
"You have finally come." The figure's voice was ethereal, seeming to travel from a distant time and space, carrying an indescribable mystery and sense of the vicissitudes of time. The voice echoed in the cave, as if plucking the strings of the passing years.
Zhang Zhi watched the figure vigilantly, his hand unconsciously tightening around his sword hilt. "Who are you? Why are you here?"
The figure gave a light laugh, the sound echoing in the cave like a gentle breeze sweeping past: "I am the Guardian of this Mo, waiting here for someone destined to unlock its secrets, for a very, very long time."
Lin Wan'er asked curiously, "Then what secrets does this Mo actually hold? And why did we come here?" Her gaze was filled with longing, eager to know the truth behind all of this.
The Guardian slowly said, "This Mo possesses miraculous power, and its mysterious nature far exceeds your imagination. It can create powerful items, but this is merely the tip of the iceberg of its abilities. Do you know that it can alter a person's physical constitution? It can transform a fragile body into one of incomparable resilience, granting extraordinary strength and endurance."
Zhang Zhi and Lin Wan'er stared with wide eyes, filled with disbelief.
The Guardian continued: "Not only that, but the Mo can also distort space. Relying on its power, one can break the shackles of space and achieve spatial jumping, traveling between different dimensions and worlds without being restricted by spatial distance."
Lin Wan'er couldn't help asking, "Does that mean we can go wherever we want?"
The Guardian nodded: "Precisely so. Moreover, the Mo also possesses the miraculous ability of anti-gravity. Without the aid of any external force, it allows people to ascend directly, soaring through the skies and shaking off the earth's restraints. Possessing the Mo is equivalent to possessing power and possibilities that transcend the ordinary. However, all of this requires specific methods and techniques to achieve. Without mastery, the Mo is nothing more than an ordinary object. And the fact that you were able to come here must be the arrangement of fate. Perhaps this is the opportunity bestowed upon you by the heavens to change your destiny."
Zhang Zhi said with a resolute gaze: "No matter how difficult it is, we are willing to try and master these powers."
The Guardian smiled slightly: "Remember, however, that with greater power comes greater responsibility. You must never lose yourselves because of this mighty power and fall into endless desire."
Zhang Zhi's eyes lit up, as if he had seen the dawn of hope. "Please teach us." His tone was sincere and eager, like an eager student thirsty for knowledge.
The Guardian nodded and began to impart the methods of using the Mo to create items. Zhang Zhi listened with rapt attention, afraid of missing a single detail, fine beads of sweat unconsciously seeping onto his forehead. Lin Wan'er also tried hard to memorize beside him, nodding from time to time with a focused and serious expression.
After a detailed explanation, Zhang Zhi decided to try crafting a weapon. Under the guidance of the Guardian and the assistance of Lin Wan'er, he took a deep breath, concentrated his mind, focused all his attention on the Mo, and attempted to channel the power within it.
Light flickered as colorful rays intertwined, and a weapon of peculiar shape gradually took form. The weapon radiated a mysterious aura that commanded attention.
"It succeeded!" Lin Wan'er cried out excitedly, her face suffused with joy and thrill as if all her fear had dissipated in this single moment.
However, right at that instant, a tremendous roar suddenly came from outside the cave. The sound was deafening, as if the entire world were shaking.
"Oh no, what is happening outside?" Zhang Zhi's heart tightened, and an ominous premonition surged within him.
They hurried out of the cave to find a bizarre crack appearing in the sky, flashing with eerie light within the black fissure, and a powerful force emanating from it. That force was filled with such oppressive weight that it made breathing nearly impossible.
What was this power? Where did it come from? And how would Zhang Zhi and Lin Wan'er deal with this sudden crisis? Countless questions swirled in their minds, leaving behind a massive cliffhanger, awaiting their courageous exploration and resolution.
