Within the Inner Sect of the Western Region Esoteric Sect, the most mysterious, bizarre, and unfathomable phenomena are the Buddha, the Flesh Lotus, and the Vajra Pestle. The Buddha represents the ultimate aspiration of the eminent monks of the Western Region Esoteric Sect. When their cultivation reaches a certain level, their bodily aura extinguishes, and countless sarira Buddha lights naturally sprout from the top of their heads, bestowing sacred mantras and illuminating the world with divine light. The Flesh Lotus is achieved when the physical body undergoes countless rounds of refinement to return to a state of primordial simplicity, followed by a baptism in the holy water of the Eight Merits Pool. Once the mind elevates to the transformation of vital energy and the true qi can be projected outward, the physical body eventually refines into a lotus. This flesh lotus is impervious to water and fire, as hard as diamond, and capable of adapting to any situation, expanding and contracting at will. When the flesh lotus manifests, it radiates thousands of rays of rosy light and swirling purple Qi—a truly rare sight in both the mortal realm and the heavens. The Vajra Pestle is a symbol of status within the Western Region Esoteric Sect. Only those with a cultivation level reaching the Heavenly Martial Realm—equivalent to above the Tribulation Transcending Stage in the Immortal Cultivation Realm—are qualified to possess such a Vajra Pestle.
