Chapter 13

This is a desolate deep valley. Jiang Yan and his Senior Sister Furong had been traveling on the road for two days, and today they arrived at the valley entrance. Along the way, they saw many Cultivators and martial artists hurrying toward the mouth of the valley. Once they stepped inside, the environment here was completely different from the outside: cold gusts of wind blew constantly, the sky was extremely dim, and the temperature was exceptionally low. The two of them continued to push deeper into the valley when four figures dressed in black robes and black cloth masks approached them from the front. Two of them were extremely tall and possessed formidable, muscular builds; another was very short and thin; and the fourth was a petite woman radiating an aura of malevolence. The most distinctive feature of all four was that each held a round, disc-shaped item glowing with golden light. As it turned out, these four individuals were members of the Golden Wheel Demonic Sect. The two tall men were named Song Da and Li Hu, the short and thin one was Wang Shenqi, and the woman was Black Fiend Rose. Three of these four cultivators were at Integration Stage Level 5, while the remaining woman, Black Fiend Rose, was at Integration Stage Early Phase Level 2. The Golden Wheel Demonic Sect was regarded as a demonic sect by the Immortal Cultivation Realm and the martial arts world, and all of its disciples practiced a demonic art known as the Blood-Transforming Illusion.
At that moment, Senior Sister Furong called out, "Junior Brother, let's stay away from them. Those four ahead are demonic cultivators and they're very troublesome!"
"Alright, Senior Sister, I'll listen to you," Jiang Yan replied.
With that, they took a small path leading deeper into the valley. After traveling a bit further along the mountain trail and turning past a towering cliff nearly a hundred meters high, the scenery before their eyes changed once again. They saw the sky split by a cyan-and-black cloud bank stretching for tens of kilometers, separated in the middle by a deep, dark fissure. This was the legendary Yin-Yang Valley. It was said that this place knew no distinct seasons, with dark clouds mingling day and night amidst flashes of lightning and rolling thunder. Suddenly, Jiang Yan felt a chill spread through his entire body; he grew dizzy, shivered uncontrollably, and found it difficult even to stand.
Senior Sister Furong was startled and hurriedly reached out to support him, asking with concern, "Junior Brother, what's wrong?"
Jiang Yan answered with great difficulty, "Senior Sister, I feel terrible, I can't hold on much longer..." As he finished speaking, his body swayed and he almost collapsed.
Only then did Senior Sister Furong remember that her Junior Brother had low cultivation and was, after all, still at the peak of the Body Refining Stage; how could he possibly withstand such an unusual, bone-chilling aura of cold and heat? Immediately, Senior Sister Furong drew two dark, gold-gleaming pills from her bosom and said, "Junior Brother, take these quickly. These are the sect's specially crafted Blazing Sun Rectifying Gold Pills."
Obediently, Jiang Yan took the two golden pills and quickly swallowed them. A cloud of white steam began to rise from his body, and instantly, a wave of warmth surged from his Dantian, coursing through the meridians all over his body. A profound sense of comfort washed over him, and he couldn't help crying out, "Ah! Senior Sister! My whole body feels so comfortable!"
At this, Senior Sister Furong asked with deep concern, "Junior Brother, do you feel better?"
"Senior Sister, I'm much better now."
This piercing Yin-Yang aura of cold and heat ate into skin and bone; not just anyone could resist it. For anyone with a cultivation below the Integration Stage, it caused fatal damage, primarily attacking the meridians and Divine Sense of immortals and martial practitioners. Without pills of Grade 7 or higher, it was hard to repair the root damage, which would ultimately result in irreversible harm to the Dantian, meridians, and Divine Sense, reducing the victim to a cripple.
How such a peculiar Yin-Yang cold qi came into being was extremely rare in the Mortal Realm. According to ancient literature and legends, this Yin-Yang Valley was originally formed from the concentration of Demonic Qi when the Pangu Giant Axe, used by the primordial deity Pangu to cleave apart the chaos, shattered the surrounding forces. For now, it was only known to exist in this Yin-Yang Valley, while whether it existed elsewhere remained an unresolved mystery.
They continued deeper into the valley. Suddenly, a deafening roar rent the sky, and six middle-aged men descended. They wore cyan-purple robes and black bamboo hats adorned with embroidered black dragon heads and black skulls.
Senior Sister Furong cried out in alarm, "Which sect do you belong to?"
"Oh! We belong to the Fúmó Sect!"
So these were the renowned Fúmó Six Envoys of the Fúmó Sect! The young woman bowed and said, "This humble one pays her respects! I never imagined that the legendary Fúmó Six Envoys of the Immortal Cultivation Realm would also grace this place."
"Oh? We never expected a little girl like you to know of us. Who are you?"
Furong replied, "Senior, this junior is Furong of the Divine Flame Sect, and this is my Junior Brother, Jiang Yan."
"So you two are the young juniors of the Divine Flame Sect. Your master, Venerable Shenlong, is our very best friend and sworn blood brother."
The Fúmó Sect envoys were respectively named Fúmó, Zhúmó, Dàngmó, Zhǎnmó, Chúmó, and Zhènmó. They specialized in subduing all monsters, demons, and evil spirits in the world, forever guarding the cosmos in peace.
