In the western part of Northern Huáxià, within the territory of Lancheng, stands a towering and wondrous sacred mountain—Mount Kongtong. Mysterious and unfathomable, Mount Kongtong has served for millions of years as an ideal sanctuary for countless immortal sects to engage in devoted cultivation.
The Kongtong Sect is among the grandest of these immortal cultivation sects. According to legend, the sect's founder, Superior Immortal Jinling, obtained a divine mirror from the Heavenly Realm: the Kongtong Mirror. With it, he opened up a realm of heaven and earth and established the Kongtong Sect. One day, Master Xuanxu summoned his disciples to the grand hall. Sweeping his solemn gaze across them, he said, "Listen well, disciples. I intend to send you down the mountain to search for the whereabouts of the Kongtong Mirror, as this mirror concerns the very lifeline of our sect."
