They inspected his wounds and, finding only superficial injuries, finally breathed a sigh of relief. Luo Jiang and Little Monk Xingshan kept firing shells at the train carriages in the river. Each shell from their 150mm heavy artillery could shatter a carriage, while the violent shockwaves from the explosions finished off many of the Japanese soldiers trapped inside. Those Japanese soldiers had already been injured when the carriages tumbled into the river; once struck by the artillery, their bodies were pulverized beyond recognition.
