The two of them arrived at the library. Nán Chǔ returned her books, but instead of leaving right away, she looked at Liǔ Cháoquè with a hesitation that clearly wanted to speak. In the end, however, she said nothing and simply checked out a few more mystery novels.
This left Liǔ Cháoquè baffled.
Silently, noon arrived. Having chatted outside for so long, Liǔ Cháoquè still didn't feel like she'd had enough conversation, yet the thought of reading lost its appeal. Since Nán Chǔ was leaving and it was time for lunch, she walked out of the library together with Nán Chǔ.
