Though still a variety of bizarre poisons, the potency and versatility of the drugs had improved significantly, and Miyano Shiho earned her codename: Sherry. Meanwhile, the remaining two Whiskeys finally found a safe place to have a formal conversation. "Glenlivet blew up the only entrance and exit to that road," Furuya Rei said through gritted teeth, a mix of grief and indignation in his voice. Akai Shuichi had once witnessed the terrifying power of that drug; on one occasion when he and Miyano Akemi went to see Miyano Shiho, they happened to catch sight of a lab mouse being poisoned to death. "There was no way it could survive." Furuya Rei refused to believe it. "I didn't see Scotch's body. I want to see a person if they're alive, or a body if they're dead." Gazing at Furuya Rei's dark, gloomy expression, Akai Shuichi lit a cigarette and abruptly changed the subject. "Recently, it seems Glenlivet is heading back to Italy, leaving Rum in temporary command of the action squad."
